Oh! Wow! Vacation is so much fun.
The time that everyone looks forward has come.
Fun activities planned just for you,
To keep you busy and happy too!
Time to explore and learn new things,
Time to travel and enjoy on the swings.
I Promise to do a page of writing,
With no refusal and no fighting.
It‟s time to smile and play,
My holidays are from 11th May
Wow! I am waiting for this lovely day.
Dear parents,
Holidays are here to give us respite from the scorching
heat and we hope that children will enjoy their vacations.
We have planned some simple and interesting activities
for the little ones. Let the child try doing these activities
himself/herself, while you facilitate and supervise the
same. The activity calendar is flexible and can be followed
as per your convenience however, ensure that all activities
are covered by the end of the holidays. Get geared and
have fun watching them take pride in their small
achievements.Do take out time to get them to reinforce
the concepts done in class.
P.S: bring holiday homework
in a neatly decorated folder.
Originality of the work will be
appreciated.

"One Seed"
There once was a seed that decided to grow While others laughed and teased, But that seed just wouldn’t say “No”, In itself it truly believed.
Chorus: It took one seed to make a diff’rence. It took one seed to grow up tall. It took one seed to have the courage. One seed that’s all.
The seed took root and grew real tall While others laughed and teased, “You won’t last long, you’ll only fall.” Yet the seed became a tree.
Chorus: It took one seed to make a diff’rence. It took one seed to grow up tall. It took one seed to have the courage. One seed that’s all.
Now that tree is fully grown Now it’s making seeds Strong enough – it won’t be long As they grow up into trees.
Chorus: It took one seed to make a diff’rence. It took one seed to grow up tall. It took one seed to have the courage. One seed that’s all.
SEED NEEDS
Here is a seed
Leave it to sleep
Under the soil
Snuggled down deep.
Then when it wakes
Down goes a root.
Up comes the tip
Of a new green shoot.
Sunlight and water
And air, little seed,
These are the things
That you‟re going to need.
CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS SHEET
SEED MOSAIC
Collect seeds of all sorts of shapes, sizes and color. Rice, beans, bird seed, corn kernels, and sunflower seeds are examples of seeds that you can use.
Think about a design/outline of an animal or a character for your mosaic and make a sketch on a thick sheet.
Squeeze some fevicol on one portion of the image. Put seeds on the glue. Work on an area at a time.
You may use a spoon to transfer the smaller seeds onto the glue. Continue until you've covered the entire image with seeds. Allow the glue to dry completely before using your mosaic.Laminate it with a transparent sheet.
Earth Friendly Tips - Keep the seeds that you didn't use.
When it's time to dispose of your seed mosaic project, you can remove the seeds from the background and plant them in small pots. You may also ask an adult to help you cut the mosaic into smaller pieces and plant them on pots or garden plots.
RAINBOW FISH PAPER
WINDSOCK
Roll a coloured sheet into a tube
and glue it holding it in place while
it dried by gently- tape it at the
ends, When it is dry, move on to
the next step
Cut lengths of ribbon
(16 inches long) and
staple along the
bottom of the tube.
Cut a shorter length
of ribbon
(approximately 8
inches long) and staple
each side to the
opposite end of the
tube to create a
handle Cut lots of
circles out of brightly
coloured papers and
heavy duty kitchen
foil (to make shiny
scales).
Run a bead of glue around
the tube (at the end where
the ribbons dangle) about an
inch up from the bottom.
Begin adding the brightly
colored circles. Repeat this
step until you have five or
six layers of circles,
overlapping each row
slightly.(bottom to top)
Cut a 1-inch-wide strip of
black construction paper
and glue it around the
windsock slightly
overlapping the top of the
last row of scales applied.
If necessary, use a piece of
clear tape to hold it in place
while the glue dries.
Cut two circles from
black paper for eyes.
Add these to the fish on
opposite sides of the
windsock toward the top.
Let it dry and hang it
inside near a window.
When the temperature
cools down and the
windows are open, you'll
be able to see the
beautiful tail (made of
ribbons) of the fish
blowing in the breeze.
