RECORDING MICROPHONES

The d:dicate™ range has modular capsules and preamps that give you total control over your environment. The transformerless design ensures extremely low noise and unparalelled off-axis response with capsules rang-ing from omnidirectional right through to super-cardioid and shotgun.

Combining any d:dicate™ capsule with any of the preamps gives you the characteristic high SPL handling, great dynamic range and linear frequency response that DPA mics are known for, in a format ideal for any recording situation. Now the ‘2000’ series adds a new affordable tier to the range.

A wide range of accessories is available, including various mic mounts, capsule grids and acoustic pressure nose cones and spheres.

Changing the grid on the 4006A Omni gives the option to maintain flat frequency response in close-miking or diffuse-field situations.

The host of clips and mounting options for mono- and stereo miking configurations will make the process infinitely smoother.

DPA’s d:dicate™ capsule and preamp design promises linearity, low noise and low distortion with a huge dynamic range, making these mics perfect for the studio environment. The capsules and preamps are all interchangeable so you can mix and match to create the exact mic you need for any task.

The d:facto™ Vocal mic has a studio condenser capsule from the d:dicate range behind an ingenious pop-f ilter.

The d:facto™ 4018V supercardioid capsule is designed to reproduce every nuance of the voice clearly and consistently. Ideal for use in live recording situations, d:facto™ Vocal offers natural sound, amazing separa-tion from nearby sound sources and high SPL handling of up to 160 dB.

Underneath the d:facto’s grid, the capsule is modular, so swop it with any other capsules in the d:dicate™ range to suit your environment.

Whether live or in studio, the d:facto™ vocal mic will deliver beautiful vocal recordings with unsurpassed clarity.

Studio Quality VIP Capsule

The d:facto™ Vocal mic’s capsule is a studio condenser capsule that’s been optimised to augment the human vocal range.

You can remove the capsule and replace it with any other d:facto™ or d:dicate™ capsule if you need a different polar pattern for your recording environment.

And, if you decide to go wireless, you can just switch to a d:facto™ adapter for wireless at a quarter of the cost of a new microphone.

Shock and pop protection

It can be quite a challenge to give a vocal mic enough protection against plosive consonants like k, p and f without adding too much high-frequency damping at the same time.

We have developed a three-way pop protection system, which is easy to remove, split and clean after use. The d:facto™ Vocal mic also features a built-in shock re-jecting rubber ring close to the mic head, which suppresses unwanted handling noise.
