Race Day: Saturday, August 13, 2011 – Dandridge, Tennessee Annual open water swim competition fundraiser  – second Saturday of August

Race End:

-  The Finish Line will be marked by two buoys near the end of the marina.

-  When you reach the finish, make sure the race officials on the Committee Boat see

your number and check in with the official so we know all swimmers have exited thewater. The Committee Boat will be stationed at the end of the marina ramp.

-  After completing the course, you should then return to your escort boat. Singleswimmers with kayak/canoe acting as escort, can climb out of the water by way of ladder on the swimming platform positioned at the end of the Point Marina thenwalking onto the grassy lawn. (Near the Committee Boat.)

-  Everyone should easily finish before 1:00 p.m., but if you are not, we request you exitthe water and return to the finish line check-in.

-  If anyone, single or team, drops out before finishing the course, please make sure youreport to the finish line judges so all swimmers can be accounted.

For Teams with 2-5 Swimmers:

-  When you are ready for a switch with a teammate, signal your boat and startswimming toward it. The next teammate can enter the water after the boat has stoppedits motor and swim toward the exiting swimmer. Lightly tap hands and the newswimmer can turn up course while the exiting swimmer climbs aboard the boat beforethe motor is turned on.

-  Remember to enter and exit the water with the motor turned off.

-  There is no requirement for how long a teammate must swim, but we suggest changingevery 10-20 minutes to stay fresh.

-  Someone from the team boat must keep an eye on the swimmers at all times.

Escort Boats:

If you indicated on your registration form that you request an escort boat, you will beprovided with the details of your escort at Race Day check-in.
