A number of high quality arts venues are packed into the centre of Douglas, all within a 10 to 15-minute walk. There's a gem of a Victorian Theatre, an Art Gallery, Museum, Concert Hall, Cinema, Public Gardens, & an Art Deco Arcade (with a Wurlitzer). St Thomas' church has beautiful murals. The Villa Arcade has an excellent ice cream parlour & a friendly Italian bistro. These are all set between the promenade & wooded gardens. A public lift & bridge link the Museum and the Lower Douglas prom area. (Bridge open 8.30am-6.00pm. By the lift is a public car park). Also many bus connections.
