Metocene MF650WMetallocene PP Homopolymer

Product DescriptionMetocene MF650W is a high melt flow rate resin with very narrow molecular weight distribution. It is suitable for melt blown fibers as well as compounding extrusion applications. This material is available as a free-flowing, low dust granule resin. This product contains no peroxide or peroxide decomposition by-products. It is a low gas fading product. The narrow molecular weight distribution and high degree of resin consistency promote finer fibers, enhanced fiber filament thread line continuity as well as reduced fly and lint in melt blown spinning processes. Its high melt flow rate allows reduced processing temperatures and energy savings. This is a low smoke, clean running resin with low gas fading characteristics.Product Characteristics

NatureWorks® PLA polymer 6252D,

a NatureWorks LLC product, is a thermoplastic fiber‐grade resin

derived from annually renewable resources. Available in

lubricated pellet form, 6252D is designed for meltblown

products using conventional as well as high pressure die

meltblown equipment.   NatureWorks® PLA 6252D can be

converted into a broad range of fiber products. See table at right

for typical polymer  properties.

Applications• Potential applications for PLA

polymer 6252D include:

• Wipes

• Geotextiles

• Hospital garments

• Absorbent pad liners

• Personal hygiene products

• Agriculture/horticultural products

• Filtration products

Processing InformationNatureWorks® PLA polymer 6252D grade will process on

conventional meltblown equipment with thorough cleaning

since PLA is not compatible with a wide variety of polymers.

6252D can also be used on meltblown equipment with high

pressure die systems providing a broader processing window.

Melt temperature can be used to reduce melt viscosity and

provide adequate pressures on conventional meltblown

systems.

NatureWorks® PLA Polymer 6252D

Machine ConfigurationGeneral‐purpose screws with L/D ratios of 24:1 to 30:1 and 3:1 compression ratios are recommended.   However, screws with mixing sections or shallow metering channels may overheat the melt at high screw speeds.  Typical melt spinning temperatures are 220 – 245°C.

ExxonMobilChemical

Vistamaxx™ 6202 Propylene-based ElastomerProduct Description Key FeaturesVistamaxx 6202 propylene-based elastomer is an olefinic elastomer produced using ExxonMobilChemical's EXXPOL™ Catalyst Technology. It has excellent elastomeric properties, is easy to process and is compatible with a wide variety of materials. It is particularly good for thermoplastic and polyolefinic blends where a balance of flexibility, transparency and impact performance is required.

Suitable for a wide range of blown and cast film applications, extrusion coating and lamination applications. Other typical applications include calendered or extruded sheet/profiles, injection molded goods and

nonwovens. Excellent adhesion to conventional or metallocene PP and PE. Very good elasticity and toughness. Very low seal initiation temperature combined with high seal strength when used as sealing layer of co-

extruded structures. Very good chemical resistance and long term aging. Particularly good for thermoplastic and polyolefinic blends where a balance of flexibility, transparency and

impact performance is required. EU and China RoHS compliant.
