Introduction:During this PowerPoint, I will be explaining the analysis of double page spreads from a certain magazine about different documentaries.

Stephan Fry in Central America:• This documentary is about the culture and

the way of life in Mexico. Stephan Fry, travelled the whole of Mexico to tell the UK what it's like for those living there.

• As you can see from this double page, there is an article on both pages in columns with a huge image dominating the whole two pages. The images being placed where they are, has given me an idea of using a few images rather than just one to attract more of an audience.

• The colour scheme is red and green which are colours from the Mexican flag.

• The masthead looks like the font of Times New Roman, this font is not what I will be using for my Ancillary tasks.

Big Blue Live:• This double page spread is about a

documentary about the animals in the ocean. Steve Backshall travels the Californian Monterey Bay for BBC 1’s new wildlife.

• The main focus of this double page spread was the image in the middle of the page. The sea lion. Every photo has a caption to go with that to explains facts about the animals.

• The colour scheme of these two pages is clearly blue. This is because obviously the documentary is about the ocean which relates perfectly.

Educating Cardiff:

• The page is about the documentary Educating Cardiff but its only one page and not a double page spread.

• The layout is very simple, it has the text at the bottom and there is a main image at the top. Which will not the layout I will copy for my double page spread.

• The text is in columns, this is something I will take into consideration about my double page spread.

• The colour scheme is also simple, the colours are mainly white, and a few blue shades.

Great British Bake Off:

• This double page spread is about the documentary about the British Bake Off that is enjoyed by millions across the country.

• During these two pages, there is a lot going on, including images and text all over the place attracting the audience that love to bake.

• The main image is of Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood would definitely attract the audience of the nation as the British Bake is a popular show. The text is also in columns.
