Researching Double Page Spread.

Before I Started my double page spread I read a couple of articles from a real existing products, because I had no idea what an article like this should be like. I read the article from Uncut Magazine of Kings of Leon and an article of The Damned Things in Rocksound magazine. Even though I had never heard of the second band the article I read gave me ideas. Also when I checked those two magazines I looked at how each double page spread is laid out on the page, which was useful for when I started doing the construction of it.

The second thing I did after researching double page spreads was to take pictures. After I explored what kind of pictures needed for a double page spread I took the guys for another photo session.

This time I took them outside we set up a concert like atmosphere as I wanted to have variations of pictures....

I decided to use this picture, because I think the modelling is good. It represents the proud image of the guys i am aiming for and also there is space on the left side where I can write the introduction of my article.

I used this picture, because the guys look like they are really playing and singing and it also has that dark lightening as if they are really on stage. The only disadvantage is that that the picture is a bit blurry, but it’s going to be small on the page.

I also used those 3 images for the double page spread, by making them a whole one on Photoshop , because on each of the two articles I checked there were pictures of a photo session like this one and I also think the idea is interesting .

I cropped the top of this one a little bit and also changed the light and the contrast.

I cropped that one as well and also made it black and white and changed the contrast and the lightening which had a positive impact on the whole image.
