A fresh face enters the music business with a BANG! She’s been supporting acts at various festivals for years and now it’s her turn for the spotlight. Setting trends and grabbing attention are all in a days work for this girl, now let’s add music to that list… We caught up with Nisse after her debut song hit the charts last week and she was more than pleased to answer our questions. “Desire” is available for download on the 2nd of February.

M: You’ve been described as being “the trend setter” for 2010, do you agree with this?N: “The first time I heard this I literally laughed my head off… as a child I was always the one behind a season and with

the hand-me-downs, but now I think I’m a lot more comfortable with my look. As for being a trend setter, ill leave that for the public to judge.”

M: Your first single in coming out for download soon, are you nervous for the reception? N: “I think any artist is a little nervous when anything they’ve been a part of finally comes out in the open, but I think the best thing I can do is to stay calm and hope for the best. This could ultimately be the start of a new era in my life!”

M: Coming from your small home town to the Big Apple, is the change different to what you expected?N: “I used to hate change; I would have been happy if nothing ever changed before, but now as I’ve grown older I’ve found that some changes just happen and some you want to happen, like my music for example. But yes, the change was a lot to take in and I still find it scary that people know my name!”

M: You’ve just supported Kanye West at the O2 area, what was that like for you? N: “It felt out of this world! I’ve never been in such a big arena and the crowd were amazing. Kanye was such a gentleman as well, he calmed by nerves before I went out and gave me pointers on what to do, I’d have been a mess otherwise.”

M: They’ve been rumours that you’ve been meeting with Robert Pattinson on many occasions, is there anything going on between you two? N: “I was waiting for this to be mentioned and I think it’s the question on everyone’s mind right now. Yes, we have been meeting up, but only as friends. I met him at the Twilight New Moon premiere and we’ve kept in contact ever since. He’s a lovely guy and I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet him.”

M: What plans do you have for the future? Are you planning to continue with your music?

N: “The success of my first single will obviously determine what I do next but, I plan to continue making music and hopefully have an album out by the end of this year. Music is my calling and I plan to keep answering it until the time comes to move on. Nisse isn’t going anywhere fast!”
