Double D&G Building Contractors is a reputable and highly commended construction company based in the platinum city of Rustenburg. For over 12 years, the business has sought to meet the housing demands of this rapidly expanding town by providing reliable and quality assured homes at an affordable price. In so doing, the business has grown from strength to strength into an outfit with the financial capacity and relative skills to take on even the most challenging building project.

A brief History

In 1984 Liz Gericke, the company’s founder began speculating in the property market. Liz realized a potential niche market for affordable homes in Rustenburg to be built at respectable standards. She aimed to build and sell these houses, be that one at a time, and gradually build momentum on this. The business flourished until she decided to put construction on hold in 1988 in order to spend more time raising her four children. Then in 1996, Liz formed Double D&G and continued with her business plan. The rest is history, the company has since then through our numerous building projects, proven to be a formidable player in the construction industry.


Today, we look back and celebrate our accomplishments. Since 1996, Double D&G have built over 800 medium sized (average 120m²) homes in Rustenburg. Our clients include Impala Platinum, Anglo-Plats, Murray & Roberts and Shaft Sinkers. Be that as it may, whether we deal with these large corporate companies or the first time home buyer, we always guarantee quality and value for money.

PRESENT PROJECTS:

Currently Double D&G are sub - contracting on a project for Foxway Developments.

The project consists of the delivery of 1500 housing units for Impala Platinum Mines by April 2010.

The average unit size is 60m2: 3 or 2 bedrooms , open plan living and kitchen area with a bathroom and separate toilet.

Double D&G are responsible for the raft foundations and earthworks , plastering and finishing of 55 units per month.
