Birch Creek began with a vision to combine professional musicians with performance education in 1976. Birch Creek’s unique summer music school provides talented musicians age 13-19 with advanced training and the opportunity to perform publicly alongside top music professionals. The student-faculty ratio is 2.3-to-1, ensuring that students receive attentive, hands-on mentoring. Additionally, students have numerous public performances throughout Door County.

Monday, June 28, 2010 • STARZ Concert In a Diff erent Light features symphony faculty members in a concert of chamber ensembles, off ering audiences an opportunity to hear faculty members in a “diff erent light”—the intimate setting of Juniper Hall. 8 p.m. $29/$10/$6.

Friday, July 9, 2010 • James Dutton Memorial Concert An annual event, this concert is dedicated to the memory and vision of Birch Creek co-founder Jim Dutton, who, with his wife Fran, gave life to Birch Creek and its mission in 1976. 8 p.m. $29/$10/$6.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 • Style Show & Luncheon Birch Creek’s volunteer’s, The Associates, return to Horseshoe Bay Golf Club, Egg Harbor, for their popular annual benefi t style show and luncheon. This year’s theme is Mixed Bag. 11:30 a.m. $45.

Sunday, July 25, 2010 • Treasures on Ellison Bluff Tour magnifi cent and historic properties on Ellison Bluff while enjoying the music of Birch Creek faculty members and cuisine from local restaurants at this fundraising gala to benefi t Birch Creek.
