•  Day 6 - Melbourne. Excursion to the Yarra Valley: Depart the city for a leisurely excursion to the YARRA VALLEY, one of Australia’s famous wine regions to sample some of the local wines. On the way, stop at the HEALESVILLE SANCTUARY, a renowned haven for animals. Here you will see some of Australia’s unique wildlife, including parrots, wombats, kangaroos, and koalas, just to name a few. Next, stop for LUNCH AT A LOCAL WINERY, including a wine tasting. •  Day 7 - Melbourne: Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore this multicultural and cosmopolitan city. Dine at a local restaurant and immerse yourself in Melbourne’s passionate food and wine scene or walk along Chapel and Brunswick Streets, famous for great shopping. Take a trip out of town along the spectacular Great Ocean Road to see the “Twelve Apostles.” (Breakfast included)

•  Day 8 - Melbourne–Adelaide: Today, fly to Adelaide. Upon arrival, take a brief orientation tour along the wide tree-lined streets and well-manicured gardens. (Breakfast, Dinner included)

•  Day 9 - Adelaide. Excursion to Kangaroo Island: Early this morning, depart Adelaide and travel by motorcoach and ferry to [LF] KANGAROO ISLAND, one of the world’s last unspoiled habitats. Visit SEAL BAY with a national park ranger to see a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Explore FLINDERS CHASE NATIONAL PARK, a sanctuary for native Australian animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, and koalas. Stop here and walk on REMARKABLE ROCKS for stunning views of the sea. Also take a boardwalk down a rugged cliff face to ADMIRALS ARCH, a unique rock formation and home to a colony of New Zealand fur seals, which can be seen resting on the rocks and playing in the waves. •  Day 12 - Sydney. Excursion to the Blue Mountains: Take a full-day trip to BLUE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK, added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2000. Here, stunning scenery is highlighted by vast eucalypt-covered valleys and fascinating rock formations. Stop to see the iconic THREE SISTERS, an unusual rock formation representing three sisters, who, according to Aboriginal legend, were turned to stone. Also stop at Scenic World, where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Three Sisters and walk through the rainforest. (Breakfast, Lunch included)

•  Day 13 - Sydney: Enjoy a full day at leisure for your own discoveries. Perhaps climb to the top of Sydney’s Harbour Bridge! • Day 2 - Orlando–St. Augustine–Cocoa Beach:• This morning, head to picturesque St. Augustine, the oldest European city in the United States, founded by Juan Ponce de Leon in his

search for the legendary Fountain of Youth. Upon arrival, a HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE ride through tree-lined and narrow brick streets will highlight 440 years of history. Afterward, there’s free time to explore St. Augustine on your own. Perhaps visit the Oldest House in the U.S. or the 17th-century Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. End the day with a walk on sandy Cocoa Beach.NOTE: In adverse weather conditions the carriage ride will be substituted with a guided trolley ride.

• Day 3 - Cocoa Beach–Cape Canaveral–Fort Lauderdale:• Cape Canaveral and the KENNEDY SPACE CENTER are the hub of America’s space operations. Enjoy a NASA tour, which provides

insight into the achievements of America’s space program. After your tour, head south to Fort Lauderdale, where you will stay for the next two nights. (Breakfast Included)

• Day 4 - Fort Lauderdale. Miami Beach Excursion:• Tour the greater Miami area, including Fort Lauderdale, nicknamed the “Venice of America,” Miami, and Miami Beach. Afterward, time

on your own to explore the colorful art deco buildings and beach of Miami Beach. This afternoon, return to Fort Lauderdale and enjoy the Florida sun on the world-famous Fort Lauderdale Beach or by the hotel pool.

• Day 5 - Fort Lauderdale–Key Largo–Key West:• This morning we head south to the Overseas Highway, crossing 42 bridges through the Florida Keys to picturesque Key West, the

southernmost town in the continental U.S. Our suggestion for this evening: visit Mallory Square to enjoy the spectacular sunset, then stroll along Duval Street with its colorful cafés.

• Day 6 - Key West:• On this morning’s optional sightseeing tour, sit back and relax on the open-air trolley and view some of Key West’s most famous

sights, including Ernest Hemingway’s home; Fort Zachary; Southernmost Point, situated less than 90 miles north of Cuba; and the Audubon House & Gardens. Spend the afternoon beachcombing or visit the many boutiques and museums. Be sure to sample the delicious Caribbean cuisine for which this semi-tropical paradise is so famous. (CB)

• Day 7 - Key West–Everglades–Naples:• Head back to the mainland to the subtropical wilderness of the EVERGLADES. Board your AIRBOAT for a thrilling sightseeing ride

through the extensive swamplands. Sleepy alligators basking on the banks of the waterways are a common sight. Make a brief stop on Fifth Avenue South, Naples’ Main Street. Enjoy a walk along the landscaped promenades before heading on to the hotel. (CB)

• Day 8 - Naples–Clearwater Beach:• Visit famous inventor THOMAS EDISON’S WINTER HOME & LABORATORY. Step through the always-open “Friendship Gate” to visit

HENRY FORD’S WINTER HOME. Don’t miss the enormous banyan tree in the garden.• Day 9 - Clearwater Beach:• A full day to relax on the sugar-white sands of Clearwater Beach. Your Tour Director will have suggestions on the best places to shop

and dine.• Day 10 - Clearwater Beach–Orlando:• This morning the motorcoach continues to the Courtyard by Marriott-Marriott Village for tour members extending their stay in Orlando.

Continue on to Orlando International Airport, where the tour ends for guests with homebound flights. Please schedule flights after 4 pm.

Perhaps visit Hollywood again and the Hollywood History Museum, located in the old Max Factor Building. Stroll down Olvera Street, the heart of the original Spanish Mission, or visit the Getty Center with its wonderful art collection. • Day 3 - Los Angeles–Palm Springs–Scottsdale:• Stop in the desert oasis of Palm Springs with its distinctive wind farms, 5,000 swimming pools, and 90 golf

courses! Afterward, we make our way to Scottsdale, where the evening has been set aside for independent time.• Day 4 - Scottsdale–Sedona–Grand Canyon National Park–Flagstaff:• Your first stop is Sedona, a thriving center for New Age arts set in canyon country. Next, we pass through the

weather-sculptured rock formations of stunning Oak Creek Canyon and up onto the Mogollon Rim, passing the San Francisco Peaks and arriving at one of the Natural Wonders of the World—the Grand Canyon. There is time to stroll the canyon rim. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, take our optional helicopter flightseeing excursion for incomparable views of flame-colored walls plunging 6,000 feet into the Colorado River. Overnight in Flagstaff.

• Day 5 - Flagstaff–Las Vegas:• Leave the mountain town of Flagstaff on historic Route 66 and cross the old Mojave gold-strike country, which still

bears traces of century-old ghost towns set in natural desert beauty. By late afternoon, reach Las Vegas, a fantastic city of feverish gambling, neon lights, and glamorous shows. This evening, enjoy our optional outing to relive the revelry and timeless music of the Rat Pack in one of the only theaters in Las Vegas that recreates the authentic dinner and show that was common with some of the city’s most famous entertainers back in their heyday. Finish the evening with a stop at Glitter Gulch for the “Fremont Street Experience” light show. (Breakfast)

• Day 6 - Las Vegas:• The morning and afternoon are free for you to swim and sunbathe at the hotel pool or explore the varied casinos.

Try an optional river float trip through the Black Canyon.• Day 7 - Las Vegas:• Another full day at leisure. Your Tour Director will have plenty of activities to choose from and will recommend

favorite restaurants and shopping areas.

• Day 8 - Las Vegas–Mammoth Lakes:• A day of striking contrasts as you journey across the desert landscape of Nevada before crossing into California and ascending into the snowcapped

Sierra Nevadas. Overnight in Mammoth, a popular alpine resort area surrounded by beauty and majesty—and within easy reach of Yosemite National Park.

NOTE:Tioga Pass is typically closed from November to the end of May due to snow. When Tioga Pass is closed, this tour is rerouted to overnight in Fresno instead of Mammoth Lakes. Departures from the end of May through mid-October are expected to overnight in Mammoth Lakes; however, weather may affect the routing of tours to Fresno during these times.

• Day 9 - Mammoth Lakes–Yosemite National Park–Sonora:• Cross the high Tioga Pass and enter YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, a wonderland of spectacular lakes, cascading waterfalls, lush forests, giant granite

domes, pinnacles, and mountains soaring as high as 1,219 meters (4,000 feet) above the valley floor. On to Sonora, once a thriving center during the Gold Rush era and well known for its collection of Victorian homes.

• Day 10 - Sonora–Sacramento–San Francisco:• This morning we visit Sacramento, California’s historic state capital, home to more than 40 art galleries and dozens of museums. Time to visit historic Old

Town, the nation’s largest collection of Gold Rush-era buildings. We continue west to the “Golden Gate City” of San Francisco, famous for its cable cars. Our included sightseeing tour takes in the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge.

• Day 11 - San Francisco–Excursion to Wine Country:• This morning, cross the famous Golden Gate Bridge to wine country for a guided tour and WINE TASTING at one of the many wineries. Next up: Sonoma,

a picturesque valley known for its wine grapes. Afterward, visit the pristine waterfront community of Sausalito. Free time to explore this quaint, Mediterranean-style village’s shops, galleries, and breathtaking views.

• Day 12 - San Francisco:• This morning, visit fascinating ALCATRAZ PRISON. Get a close-up look at the infamous federal penitentiary that was off limits to the public for years.

Afterward, the day is yours to explore the “City by the Bay.” Choose from a variety of optional excursions.

• Day 13 - San Francisco–Monterey:• This morning, visit Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, known for its historic waterfront, delicious seafood, and unique shopping. Then, visit Cannery Row,

made famous by John Steinbeck’s novel. During your free time this afternoon, consider a visit to Monterey Bay Aquarium, known for its interactive exhibits and teeming sea life.

• Day 14 - Monterey–17-Mile Drive–Carmel–Solvang:• Today takes in spectacular 17-Mile Drive. Watch the waves of the Pacific Ocean en route to Carmel. Situated on Carmel Bay and nestled in a pine forest,
