2005 – Present Unified Fire Authority SLC, Utah

Fire Inspector, Area Fire Marshal

Under the direction of the Fire Marshal my responsibilities include performing fire inspections on new commercial construction, residential construction and existing businesses in the Draper area. I ensure that all IFC (International fire Code) requirements are met and fire suppression systems commercial and residential are installed to code. During a business inspection I ensure the business is in compliance with IFC, NFPA, and city ordinances. I provide written documentation of the inspection through inspection checklist and letters to the business listing code violation references in IFC, NFPA and city/county ordinances. If upon re-inspection I find the business to still be non-compliant I work through the city attorney to assist me in helping them to become compliant. 2005 –Present Las Vegas Motor Speedway Las Vegas, NV Pit Firefighter Under direction of NASCAR my responsibilities are to protect all spectators, drivers and crew from injury and extinguish fires or treat any medical injuries that may happen along pit road. 2013-Present Rocky Mountain Raceways SLC, Utah Training Officer (Firefighter/EMT) My duties include but are not limited to ensuring a fire safe atmosphere for all employees and patrons by performing fire inspections per IFC, NFPA and city/county ordinances. I am also the training officer over thirty-five Firefighter/EMT’s that are part of our Track Services Safety Team. Respond to all major accidents on the track and decide best method of response or treatment. Provide medical treatment for all participants and patrons at the track. Part of a very intricate team. Provide monthly training to track services safety team. Set Emergency Medical Technician

My duties include but are not limited to overseeing that the crew is following all state and local fire codes by making recommendation per the IFC and NFPA codes. I also provide proper medical treatment per state and local protocol when needed to the cast and crew on the movie set when needed. Travel all over the state when working on set. 2003 - 2004 Intermountain Healthcare SLC, Utah Respiratory Technician Responsible for stocking all intubation carts, transporting critically ill patients from the PICU and NBICU to different procedures within the hospital by maintaining their airways via transport ventilator or manually ventilating them. I also collect data on all patients receiving treatments from respiratory and entering them into a database designed to track numerous diagnoses. 1998 - 2003 Intermountain Healthcare SLC, Utah Security Officer My duties included but were not limited to performing monthly fire inspections on any assigned IHC facilities per IFC, NFPA and all city /county ordinances. I also provided customer service to patients, visitors and employees of IHC. I enjoy teaching the public about Fire Prevention, CPR, First Aid and C.E.R.T. I really enjoy the opportunities the Fire Department and the Raceway have provided me. I like to go fishing and hunting as well as camping. I enjoy traveling with my family. My wife works for the Jordan School District as a bus driver. I like to spend time with my children we have two plus a grand-daughter. Our daughter Cathrine and her daughter our first grandchild Amelia. And our son Robert both who still live with us at home.
