FRONT PAGE APPY SNAP: Our wayfinding
volunteers Brian, Daphne, John and
Virginia are on hand to direct you once
you arrive at Blacktown Hospital, but if
you need the latest info about how to
get here or where to park, you need
the HosPark app.
It’s free on Google Play and iTunes,
and includes information about every
hospital in NSW.
And of course it has all the latest info
on our expanded P1 car park - now
with more than 1000 car spaces, a
guidance system and parking counters
to tell you how many spaces are
available.
So don’t worry, be appy!
GROWING RENAL SERVICES
SAFE AND SOUND: Security officer Joe was keeping close eye on progress as
we added the finishing touches to the new Community Dialysis Centre at Mount
Druitt Hospital this week. Services will commence on Monday 5 February,
starting with a couple of sessions a week, with the capacity to expand in the
future.
Light-filled, accessible, welcoming and patient-centred, it’s a great addition to
the Mount Druitt family! And don’t forget, the Aboriginal Healing Garden next to
the centre is open for everyone to enjoy. For more information about services,
please speak to your dialysis healthcare team.

INSIGHT: C53 Aged Care staff
members Ramona, Chanelle and
Vesna stopped to admire the
temporary exhibition on level 5
this week. This level features
works by visually impaired artist
Susan Oxenham.
Susan is blind in her right eye, and
only has light perception in her
left. Her exhibition Longsighted,
explores her perception of eye
conditions. As well as brightening
up our corridors, staff say it
encourages visitors to think
differently about eye conditions.

ROLLING STOCK: 10 new
wheelchairs have arrived at
Blacktown Hospital.
The wheelchairs are similar to
the previous orange model,
made so they can’t be easily
stolen or accidentally put
into a car boot.
Two are at the front desk
under the care of our
wayfinding volunteers and
the rest are being put to good
use by our porters in General
Services.
