Dolly (6LL3)(July 5, 1996-February 14, 2003)

Scientists at Roslin believe that Dolly died so young (6 years old) due to the age of the sheep she was cloned from (6 years old).

Believed she may have been “old at birth” Telomeres were shorter than expected for a sheep her

age
