Currently be a member with Northwestern Mutual Credit Union Put the best interests of the membership first Make a commitment to attend board and committee meetings Strictly maintain the confidentiality of member information The board is comprised of members who have an interest in setting credit union policy and strategy while safeguarding the assets of member-owners. In order to serve on the board, you must: u u u If you or someone you know would like to serve on the board, complete a nomination form and return it to the credit union no later than February 1, 2018. Forms are available at the credit union office or by calling 414-665-3423. The list of nominees will be posted at the credit union on February 10th and the election process will take place in accordance with the credit union’s bylaws. Have a business trip or vacation coming up? If you plan to use your NMCU debit card, don’t forget to let us know! Here’s what you need to do, along with some helpful tips: Stop in the branch or give us a call at 414-665-3423 to let us know where you’re going and what dates so we can make a notation on your account. 1 2 Make sure we have a valid cell phone number on file for you. Stay tuned for more updates - we’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on. Michelle is the Member Service Manager here at NMCU. She started here as a Senior Customer Service Representative, then the Team Lead for a year until she was promoted to the Member Service Manager, which she has been for the last seven years. She works primarily Downtown, but spends time in Franklin as well, as she manages staff at both branches. Michelle grew up in Greenfield, WI, and has lived in South Milwaukee for the last 21 years. She attended college at UW-Oshkosh, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. She entered the credit union world when she was a teller at a large credit union in college. After college, she switched gears and became a director at a Daycare. After that, she gained three years of experience as a social worker for Milwaukee County. After having children, she decided to leave the social work industry, and had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom to her daughters, Alexis (18) and Meghan (21), and was a manager with Tupperware. After her daughters were older and involved with after-school programs, she started working full-time again with another large credit union for three years before starting her career with Northwestern Mutual Credit Union. In addition to her two daughters, she has a 4 lb dog named Libby who she adores, and is about to celebrate her 22nd wedding anniversary with her husband Joel in January! In her spare time, Michelle loves boating, fishing, and spending time out on the lake. “Firepit Fridays” are a tradition at her house, and she loves spending as much time as she can in the warm weather. She also spends many weekends traveling all over Minnesota for her daughter’s college swim meets, and enjoys watching her swim. When she’s not on the lake or at a swim meet, she loves to travel. She has an upcoming exciting vacation to the Florida Keys this winter! Michelle believes the best part about working at NMCU is that every day is different. There are many roles that are involved with her position, and she loves that it keeps her agile and current with the industry. She also has a fantastic team who make coming to work easy!
