Hawaiian Pineapple Company  merged with Castle and Cooke IncorporatedFrom the time of the merger onwards,

the Company went on to greatly expand and become the leading producer and marketer of every fresh fruit and vegetable in the world.

Stanfilco started exporting giant cavendish bananas in 1968, setting a record as the Philippines' first banana exporter.

General Santos was chosen as the first site of the Philippine banana project

It now covers 9,000 hectares of banana plantation
