number and the quality of fellowships

are worth a mention. The inter table

initiatives at the area level for the

twinklers, tablers have made the 18

tables feel like they are one unit DOing

MORE and wanting to DO much MORE.

MKRT181‘s Cric o Mania was amazingly

organized and drew appreciation from

the national front as well - doing an

intertable event year on year is no easy

task.

The icing on the cake in December has

been the numerous awards won by Area

2 in facets of International Extensions,

Publicity, Magazine, Fellowship, Secy

Awards in the NAGM. Hearty congrats to

NS Tr.Suman Voora of MMRT42 who was

elected NVP 2014-2015, RTI.

December 2013 Area2 Rocks NAGM

Area 2 was at its best at the recently concluded NAGM at Goa. Be it the Netagiri Business Session where our A2 boys were dressed in SUperMAN style supporting the candidature of NST Suman Voora for the post of NVP or the casual Goan beach style - Area 2 Rocked. A few highlights and awards won at the NAGM:

December 2013 MKRT181’s Cric o ManiaCric O Mania was a huge hit this year with 18 teams from Area 2 registering for this event. 181ers were charged to deliver a great event and they did more than a great event.

It all kick started with the multiple flyers bringing in the anticipation at its peak until the D-day - 1st Dec’13. Area-2 Inter-table convener Tr. Kaushal presided the draw for Season-3 of Cric o Mania on 29th Nov’13 @ Little Italy, Besant Nagar. The draw was done using a mobile app.

On 1st Dec’13, as the matches began at 2.30 pm, it was some serious Indoor cricket with the teams getting into huddles and planning their strategy time and again. The qualifiers went on till 8.30 pm , followed on by the Quarters & Semi’s and the nail-bitting Finals finished by 11.30 pm. Well it was not just cricket, there were some yummy short eats too being served around which kept the non-players happy.

The Finals went down to the wire and MCRT162 emerged as winners against MWRT3. Season-3 witnessed some power-packed performances from individuals & Teams , Tr. Sapan Gupta of MCRT-162 was declared the Man of the Series , Cr. Sapna Gutgutia - Circler of the Series , Tw. Shaan Sayani - Twinkler of the Series & the Fellowship award was bagged by MCRT94. This mega inter table event was attended by 227 heads, 18 teams registering , 20 high octane games being played which speaks of the strength and popularity the event has gained over the last 2 seasons.

December 2013 MWRT10Tr.Vikas Nahar of MWRT10 gave the tablers a quick LAPD on the benefits of slow breathing. Coined as “Live Longer by breathing better”, Tr.Vikas showed that yogic experts only take 10-12 breaths a minute, while most of us normally take 30 such breaths. The benefits of this - it increases stamina and longetivity. So Breathe Easy Boys.

MSRT39Area Honorary Tabler Punit Sampat conducted a Module on the Management & Marketing Mantra. He started with an Ice Breaker where he made all 39'ers think through a situation. Further, AHT engaged all 39ers by asking them their favorite leaders and the reasons. Names like Steve Jobs, Ambani, Sachin, Narendra Modi, Dhoni and own dads name kept flowing on while Punit insisted to think on reasons for choosing them as favourite leader and charted down all skillsets on the White Board. He then spoke about how important are these skillsets to become a good leader. As it was Superstar Thalivas birthday, AHT Punit set an innovative presentation which had all Rajiniís famous dialogues. He further converted all these into the Management reasons and brought out the importance of all. The session was not only informative, but was also quite humorous.

MCRT94Initiated by Tr.Madan on popular demand from the floor Tr.Rajesh started to speak in detail about “Couch to 10K”(Running Marathons) and the GYAN which followed was really appealing and some of the Floor Tablers believed that his speech and experience has inspired them.

Tablers visit to Tr.Vivek Chari’s niche power sector unit a few was a great experience and learning.

The 909th Business meeting was held at Hotel GRT. Detailed report on the RTI week Community Service activities was shared and discussion around the mega Publicity was also held. All the tablers were made to look like Devils with the head board wearing the Devil beads and weapons.

As it was Superstar Thaliva Rajinikant’s  birthday,  39’ers  were dressed in Smart jackets and Goggles – in Super Style the meeting was conducted. Projects Inauguration details were shared by the convenors and a new proposal to construct 5 class rooms for Rs. 42 Lakhs was also approved by the floor. All convenors report was run on the power point presentation. AHT Punit Sampat also conducted a HR session on Management & Marketing Mantra.

December 2013 MSRT123Tr.Akshay Dugar was selected to attend the National Leadership Conclave held at Ahmedabad. This was one of the rare opportunities where a tabler is selected among his peers to attend a National Level conclave. A very insightful and fun experience which should not be missed by anyone in tabling. Tr.Akshay was the sole representative from Area 2 and was among the 36 Tablers and Circlers from across the country who attended this 2 day event at the Kensville Golf Resort. Speakers and mentors Tr.Brijesh Dalmia, T r. S a n j ay K a n a k i a , S q . L . Ne v i e l l e Billimoria, Tr.Romel, Tr.Sandeep were present for the event sharing their experiences.

Apart from all the gyaan, there was a lot more in store starting from billeting at a Tablers Residence, Team Games, Poker, Drama (Unbelievable but True), late Nights, Swimming during the chilled Ahmedabad evenings, amazing food and more over new friends across all Tables from all over the country.

The NLC (National Leadership Conclave) was themed APEX (Aspire, Persevere, EXcel) and both Tr.Brijesh Dalmia & Tr.Sanjay Kanakia showed why they are one of the best mentors around in Round Table India and the impact they have m a d e i n t h e s e 2 d ay s h a s b e e n phenomenal. The results will soon be seen when new National Leaders for Round Table will come to the forefront in the next few years.

All in all the best experience a Tabler can get in his Tabling career which can make the difference in his life.LA

National Leadership Conclave 2013Kensville Golf & Country Club, Ahmedabad

Tr. Ritesh Sirohia brought the idea of hosting a national level event to the floor. It was duly supported by all tablers. The proposal to host the NLC was put to the National Board NP Tr. Harish Shenoy & NLAPD Convener Tr. Brijesh Dalmia quickly gave their go ahead for the same. So started the journey of APEX-2013 for all us tablers of AFRT 199.

Incoming Chairmen Tr. Vivek Goenka appointed IPP Ritesh Sirohia as the NLC Convener. As always Ritesh ( Royal Stag - his NLC Group nickname ) got on the job following up with all concerned - getting the right trainers, external speakers, finalizing the location etc. etc. He was ably supported by Tr. Vivek & other tablers of AFRT 199.

It was a conscious decision to make this as experience personal & as much fun as it should be about motivation. From this came the ideas - the venue’s choice was one of the finest Golf Resorts, the idea of participants being picked up & dropped by AFRT tablers, billeting the tablers, holding a Kick off social for the participants the night before & AFRT’ians joining the NLC participants in “Special 26 Socials”.

The rest was the magic that the trainers Tr. Sanjay Kanakia, Tr. Brijesh Dalmia, Tr. Sandeep Harbhajanka, Tr. Romel, HT Prakash Udeshi & Nevile wove & woved the participants. The experience the participants had can best be described by the “Champions” themselves. Here are excerpts from their Experiences.

Dear Tablers, 

First of all, thanks a lot to our hosts Vivek, Ritesh, Alok, Tarun and the Tablers from 199. After a while, lot of the in session learning will probably fade away but I will always remember billeting with Alok and the effort his family went to make our stay comfortable. I will always remember the effort Tarun took to drop us at the Airport today morning at 6.30 AM, that too when he has not slept the previous night. I will always remember how each every tabler from AFRT 199 went all out to make the NLC 2013 a grand success.

Our trainers, Sanjay, Brijesh, Sandeep, Romel, Prakash, Neville, Vineet and Deepak, Hats off to you guys for providing a great learning experience to all of us. The effort that you have put in definitely has created a new found appreciation for me with respect to Tabling and brought in how we can contribute to the further the movement.

NLC 2013 has been a great experience for me, I have made 30 friends from various parts of the country. While I did not get a chance to interact will all of you, I will promise to look you guys/gals up when I am in your city and please do the same when you are passing through Cochin or Kerala. It will also be a privilege for me to host you at my home, so please do not hesitate to call me if you are planning a trip to God's Own Country :)

The same evening it was time for a social hosted by 199 at the Fortune Hotel. There was a live ochestra playing old songs, vegetarian food and khus sharbat for all - Though i stood amazed as socials in our place were totally different affair, the next two days i was proved wrong as the Ahmedabad boys are wilder and crazier than what the guys in Chennai were. They were a truly rocking bunch.

NVP Deepak Menda introducing the tablers. I can bet, he left all tablers scratching their heads and surprised - he not only introduced all tablers circlers with the names but went overboard by even talking about each Tablers and Circlers achievements.

Both Brijesh & Sanjay kept us occupied throughout the day with interesting sessions. Guest speakers Nevelle Bilimoria and Prakash Udeshi were a treat as it was a rare opportunity to listen to these stalwarts speak.

A brilliant presentation on "You have a Choice" by Brijesh was an eye opener - it has indeed impacted most of the tablers for the good already. 

It was nearing end of day one and we all were tired and wanted to retire, when, Sanjay got us to the lawns of the golf resort for some interesting games. The games were out of the world, be it the Taliban fence, Base Ball Cricket or mad race - the team work really got the bonding going.

We all hit Room no.26 post dinner and it was a long night for the poker

boys and the others who preferred to gossip, sing and have some fun.

When I woke up the next day, I felt each tabler/ circler at the NLC was known for quite a while now and we have been friends. It was unbelievable for such a thing to happen overnight. Was it something in the food or the drink? Nevermind, it is for the good i said to myself and continued with the routine of breakfast followed by the sessions.

Sanjay, Brijesh, Romel, Sandeep, Guest Speaker Rohit Swarup - all did their bit during the sessions, be it meditation by Sandeep or thought provoking case studies and presentation by Sanjay, it was an action packed day with more of activities.

I started to realize that this was not a training and i felt calling the NLC a training was not what it deserved. NLC is a thought provoking platform - nobody told us what was right what

was wrong how to do it what to do? They just let us loose, for us to introspect what is it that we want, what is it that we are looking for. Sanjay is a master at this and I wont be surprised if he mentors some excellent leaders in Tabling and Professional Life.

The multiple ball juggling game as I may call it or the "we the people' with the new Barkha 'Romel" Dutt were something offbeat. A long day but a very interesting one.

Tr. Bittu Gandhi : Raipur RT 169 Tr. Sanjay & Tr. Brijesh & Tr. Prakahs Udeshy took us to a Life journey experience by the modules (I am not getting to much into it as I HAVE A CHOICE), but the real life stories of tablers & circles in between was something which I was always listening carefully, I had mix emotions JOY, SORROW, LOVE etc listening to it.

The guest speaker of the day Sq. Leg Nevelle from Chennai gave an insight on health shared his experience, we were all amazed to look at the ATHETE and his talent  as a marathon runner and organizer of Sun to Dawn was something out of this world.

Tr. Romel than taled about RTI growth and s small  mock session was done.As the day ended,   Tr. Brijesh introduced us to ‘THE DASH’ a thing which we never think of what we want to do on this DASH time.Tr. Vineet IPP had also come to share his insight on FTE and RTI branding, Tr Deepak gave some insight for his future and Tr. Sandeep really helped us to make us feel peace in head when it was required the most.

The night again landed in SPECIAL 26, where the history and bond was made the strongest and unforgettable. Again the Singing round and a Special Act by Me and Romil on IPP was done. The ICING ON THE CAKE was our own Tr. SUBBU from SALEM RT  a SINGER and ACTOR.Thank you RTI, Tr. Prashant AC Area 3, RRT 169 Tabler’s for giving

Kensville golf resort which has given memories which I will cherish all my life from room special 26 which was our den for the 2 nights the only place were we could drink , the pool, the hall of fame , the food and my room 103 where I had to spend the night with black hole known as bittu the great …lol .. wonderful and awesome buddy .

I was all set to learn from the masters of round table and salute to the Masters Sanjay , Brijesh, Sandeep, Neville, Prakash, Romel , Deepak & Vineet the leaders of round table who are so humble down to earth . They let us know that we were the hand picked few and we were there to make a difference to tabling … It didn’t hit me then but by the end of the sessions where we got to know that “ I had a choice “ to the brief accomplishments of the various tablers and circlers , how to achieve our goals ,time management by Brijesh & Sanjay, to the passion of Neville who also taught us be healthy ,fit and give your 100 % in

what ever you do and follow our passion , meditation and game of juggling of balls with Sandeep , conflict management with Prakash , the session about conceptual thinking within the box with Rohit swaroop , Need for extension with Barkha urrrff Romeeeeel and all the games and fun , I cant explain it though it was just great learning and fun . we also exchanged pins with everyone and guys who have not sent me the pins please do send them as these will be the rememberence of the NLC.

The best part was when we entered the hall after coffee the second day which had turned into Hall of fameThe DASH…. eulogy which Sanjay told us to write was the thing which came as a surprise and

that actually changed my whole outlook to life .. Now I kind of know the path what I have to take to make my life more happier and more meaningful to me and others it is definitely pay back time and I promise to do what ever I can on my part which could benefit RTI . we ended with the sessions and u would have thought did we only learn and not party .. can that happen in RT

Tr. Vinay Rathi, PURT 144‘There are no strangers in ROUND TABLE, only friends I haven’t met’Isnt this saying true for tabling, these 2 days proved it right. I cannot ever forget the time I had at ‘APEX NLC 2013’. I just didn’t go through extensive training but when the sun set down, the fellowship was at its peak..... The extempore searganting was an experience I can’t write much about.It was just to be experienced and I hope we relive that some time again..

The entire 2 days of sessions, where we were being trained on various aspects of leadership skills by SK and BD. At the hindsight it seems a good training. But considering the wide range of subjects that we were exposed to I am speechless to the planning that would have gone through by SK and BD. Leadership skills, physical body fitness importance, innovative thinking, case study on conflict management by Sq Leg Prakash Udeshi, morning wake up exercise by Sandeep which had message for leaders, presentation by participants on existing matters faced by RTI which were questioned by national board through NVP, time management, goals, Morality , ‘ You have a choice’ session. What an extensive program we went through. Most of all discussions by fellow tablers which also gave an insight into different thought processes. ‘Hall of fame’ gave me one of the proudest moments of tabling career. Having my picture with all champions on the hall of fame wall

was not just pride filling but an encouragement to now start giving back to the movement. I have been in corporate life for 10 years now, and this was one training which would excel all . I take this opportunity to thank again SK, BD and Sandeep for immaculate planning and giving us those 2 days which I hope to use not just in my tabling career but my professional career too.

B D & S K congratulations on completion of a S U C C E S S F U L Leadership Conclave.. The way you two have planned and executed the program is simplyBRILLIANT and this comes only with Experience and PASSION for the work... Kudos to you 2!!!!

December 2013 MSRT39MSRT 39's Project Inauguration was held at Maharaja Agarsen School on 7th Dec’13. Actor Deepak was the Chief Guest and Tr. Kavalpreet Singh was the Special Guest for the event. 39ers inaugurated 3 Class Rooms, 1 Library and a Toilet Block. The Class Rooms & Library built will benefit over 225 children.

MSRT 39 has sponsored Rs.24,000/- to RTI Secretariat staff Ms. Nandini for her son's e d u c a t i o n a t t h e B l i n d S ch o o l . A heartwarming gesture by 39ers to support an RTI employee.

MMRT95MMRT 95 have been working very closely with the National Federation of the Blind for a few months by donating the essentials required by the inmates of the institute. It is indeed heartwarming to see how people who have not been benefited with vision came forward to donate blood on the 3rd of December, World Disabil ity Day at Orthomed Hospital, Royapettah. More than 110 people who were visually challenged registered for Blood Donation on this day and indeed is a first of its kind project undertaken by Round Table if not by any other NGO at large where

MMRT95 went out of the way to ensure the donors were comfortable - taxis for pickup and drop were arranged, breakfast, juices, snacks and gifts were arranged for the donors.

MERT30MERT30 caught up to give their ears some rock on music at the Farhan Akthar Show on 14th Dec'14 where 10 heads were present. The sang, danced and had fun and this continued at Chipstead for a round of drinks post the event - now what more does one want on a Saturday Night.

The Great Kabab Factory was host to the 30 Family for Christmas Party. With around 10heads, catching up at THE GREAT KABAB FACTORY, for some hot- piping food, appetizing kebabs and mouth-watering desserts. December 2013 MSRT39Business Meeting in Rajini Style - As it was Superstar Rajini's Birthday, 39'ers conducted the December month Business in Rajini style keeping the dress code as Jackets and Goggles. Superstars Birthday was later celebrated by cutting a birthday cake followed by cocktails and fellowship till 2am.

MCRT94Tr.Gopi & Rukmini threw a fantastic bash for the 94ers at the Hyatt Regency on 7th Dec'13. The fairly new tablet did get into the groove of tabling and had made his mark in the 94 circuit already. Looking at the attendance at this social - nearly 100% - On a lighter note, the tablers requested Tr.Gopi to be the host for the entire year to ensure 100% attendance.

MMRT95MMRT95ers were in full swing at the Madras Cricket Club to welcome the New Year 2014. An amazing party with lots of fun, frolic, music and DARUU of course.

December 2013 MSRT123On 5th December'13, Tablers and Circlers were at Chairman Viral's place practicing and scripting the Sergeants Act for the upcoming Charter Night.

On 7th December, MSRT123 celebrated the 21st Charter Night and MSLC63 had their 250th Meeting at Raintree, St.Marys Road. The event was well attended by Sq.Legs, Tablers, Circlers, Guests. The Sergeants Act was a treat to watch as it was a complete RACE Riot. The guests present did not want to leave the dance floor, thanks to the rocking music by the DJ, the party went on till 3am.

MSRT159THE NAGM at Goa was just an excuse for the 159ers to holiday and Party. In total 11 adults and 8 kids, we had a great bonding and fellowship with other Area Tablers. Holiday continued after the NAGM where all the tablers enjoyed the Beaches, Beer and Babes ofcourse.

Tr Sudhanshu and Reshma Budhia organized a lovely social at the Leela Palace on 12th December'13.

New Years eve at Park Hyatt was yet another rocking event and fellowship at MSRT159. 7 couples decided to celebrate New Year’s with Priyanka Chopra at Park Hyatt on 31st December. A special appearance of Priyanka Chopra just did not ring enough bells but a good fellowship bonding did.

The entire junta covered Square Legs Saji Philip, Sanjay Ramaswamy, Sathish Jupiter, Shri Ganesh, Pappu and Prem's house over a period of 4 hours. Tr. Ayaz was the Greenest Santa on the Planet carrying the theme of green by distributing Saplings to the square legs.

Poker night @ Bala's on 28th December’13 was the next event to watch out for where the 162ers met t the ideal location for a game of poker - the treasurers Tr.Bala’s residence.

Chairman Dannie had organised a lavish spread of Spirits and food for over 45 heads for Christmas which extended late into the night and wee hours on 22nd December’13.

50 heads of Coastal Sharks descended to catch up on the latest movie Dhoom 3 on 27th December’13.

December 2013 MKRT181Women of 181 flocked together for a Girls Night Out at G Pad, Shwetha Grandhi's Residence. This one night the men had to take care of the Kids while the women had their fun. As I hear, they were chit chatting all night and dozed for two hours. In the morning they strolled at the beach for sometime and had their b r e a k f a s t t o g e t h e r. A n i g h t f o r themselves, something the women deserve. Overall freindship and bonding was at all high. Thanks to then the 181ers had their own fellowship happening which they prefer not to reveal.

HT Ganesh & Jenny threw a pary on the occasion of their Wedding Anniversary. They threw a party for 181ers at Elevate. It started with the couple kissing each other and in some time LOVE was all around the place that night. Looked more like a kiss party with the number of kisses going around.
