What is the initiative about?
Just created the Gender Unit, it was possible to operationalize an agreement that was signed with the current UN Women, and it was included the collaboration with the German Technical Cooperation, GIZ joined today.
Prior to the inclusion into the system of public finance an
important and long validation process was done with all the
coordination ministries and the entity of women that in Ecuador is
the Transition Commission for Gender Equality.

Resources and key benefits
The Ministry of Finance, in these four years has used about $ 200,000. Resources come from the institutional budget.
The activities have been funded by UN Women with a contribution of $ 150,000, plus technical assistance. Funds were obtained from the Belgian cooperation.
The German Cooperation GIZ, has invested about $ 120,000 in addition to technical assistance. The resources were obtained from the budget for cooperation for Ecuador.
