Enclosed are the names of four candidates which we are sending to the Public Service Commission. Theywill select two candidates to be Ad Hoc members of the siting committee. They will then h ve an equalvote to the five permanent Siting Board members when reviewing the adequacy of the British Petroleumproposed wind project in Cape VincentAs you know the Jefferson County Legislature the Town Cape Vincent and more recently the Town ofLyme have been requested to submit four names to the psc. If each of these legislative bodies were tochoose different candidates that would give the state 12 members to choose from possibly the Town ofCape Vincent would have no representation - certainly an unacceptable outcome from our Viewpoint.Realizing this potential outcome we questioned the PSC who approved the consolidation of candidatesas a solutionThe Town of Cape Vincent of course has the most to gain or lose from the participation of the Ad Hocmembers and we have chosen three members of the community as well as one from Lyme. These are allvery capable people who are knowledgeable about the BP proposal and its ultimate impact on theTownships. We trust that you and your board will support the Towns of Cape Vincent and Lyme by replicating theenclosed recommendations whose resumes are enclosed.Sincerely Yours~ h yTown of Cape Vincent Supervisor
