Excavation and reinstatement has been completed on the A141 Spittals Roundabout with works moving north along Ermine Street. From the photograph’s you can see we have picked the one day this summer it has not rained for a progress update! LCL Teams have been busy completing a number of projects throughout the midlands, as part of Western Power Networks upgrades. On the Erin Road at Poolsbrook, operatives completed excavations and cable installations as part of a new Primary Substation project, shown in the picture left. During works on another of these projects at Goitside Substation, Chesterfield, cable operations were carried out while having a surveillance visit as part of our Lloyds NERS accreditation. 33kV cables were installed by hand into open trenches and terminated inside the new Switch Room ready for connection.

VEHICLES
Three new Vauxhall Movano F3500 Panel Vans have been added to our vehicle fleet. All
are fitted with speed limiters, twin beacons, access steps, reverse sensors, first aid kits,
eye wash & handwash stations, and the new look company graphics and chevrons.
After very positive feedback from site operatives we have purchased a further five upright BT60 Trench Compactors with class leading HAVS technology. We are confident that our
operatives have the best tools available to ensure we always deliver the ideal solution to your construction needs.
We have also taken delivery of a New DAF CF400 8x4 Euro 6 Tipper Grab Lorry with an
Epsilon Palfinger Crane. This has been fitted with front and rear LED’s, trench compactor carrier, sheeting system, all round camera system to ensure compliance with FORS Gold.
We have put the new DAF CF400 straight to work on our project at Alconbury.
