Family Members: (same household, same course): $25 This course is a fast-paced driver improvement program offering practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities and costs. It addresses the importance of attitude in preventing collisions and reinforces good driving skills. Qualifies for insurance discount, point reduction and WSI Safe Driver program.

Defensive Driving Course, Online Members: $45 Non-Members: $55 Court/DOT Required: $75 Groups: Call for pricing. This online course takes approximately 4 hours to complete and can be done at your own pace with a convenient bookmark feature. Train all your drivers for less than what it would cost to send them out for instruction and far less than the cost of one preventable collision! Qualifies for insurance discount, point reduction and WSI Safe Driver program.

DEFENSIVEDRIVINGCOURSE

Alive at 25* Course Length: 4.5 Hours Public Course: $55 Court/DOT Required: $75 Vehicle crashes are the #1 cause of death for people ages 14 to 24. Alive at 25 was developed to specifically target drivers in this age group. The course teaches young adults that people in their age group are more likely to be hurt or killed in a vehicle crash; that inexperience, distractions and peer pressure cause unique driving hazards; that speeding, alcohol and party drugs greatly increase their risk of injury or death; and that as a driver or passenger, they can reduce their risk by taking control. Qualifies for insurance discount and point reduction.

Adverse Weather Driving Course - Slippery Slope* Course Length: 4 Hours Call for Private Course Pricing Learn how to reduce your risk and make better driving decisions when winter strikes. This course makes a great refresher for experienced drivers and is an eye-opener for those who are new to North Dakota’s roads. Qualifies for insurance discount.

POINT REDUCTION ANDINSURANCE DISCOUNT PROGRAMSThe North Dakota Safety Council, in cooperation with the Drivers License and Traffic Safety Division of the

ND Department of Transportation, ND Highway Patrol and the ND Insurance Department, offer these programs

to ND drivers as incentive for their involvement in a driver improvement course.

POINT REDUCTION: After completing an approved course, you will be eligible for a point reduction on your ND driving record which could help you avoid a license suspension. It will not cancel a mandatory suspension or violation, nor will it cancel any action which is already being taken against your driving record. Contact the NDDOT for more information at 701-328-2600. If your license is not issued by the NDDOT, contact your state DOT to see if one of these courses qualifies in your state.

INSURANCE DISCOUNT: Select courses are approved in ND for an insurance discount. Contact your insurance company for details. See ND Century Code: 26.1-25-04.1.

DDC Distracted Driving, Online Course Length: 1 Hour, 30 Minutes Members: $40 Non-Members: 45 DDC Distracted Driving Online helps change drivers distracted driving attitudes and behaviors. A self-assessment sets the pace with appropriate scenarios, activities and content based on the individual profiles and risk level. This 90-minute course uses an engaging, interactive format that educates employees about the risks and dangers of cell phone use while driving.

Coach Me Advanced Behind-the-Wheel, Train-the-Trainer Course Length: 16 Hours Members: $550 Non-Members: N/A* This course will prepare instructors to merge classroom training into behind-the-wheel skills. Learn how to conduct a full driving range, learn proper safety techniques and teaching methods. Attendees will also learn how to conduct in-vehicle evaluations.

Professional Truck Driver, Train-the-Trainer Course Length: 8 Hours Members: $200 Non-Members: N/A* This course is for facilitators, fleet and safety managers, and driving school instructors who want to develop or enhance the effectiveness of their overall training delivery. When implemented at your company, qualifies for insurance discount and WSI Safe Driver program. Prerequisites apply. Call for details.

Professional Truck Driver, Online Members: $55 Non-Members: $65 Groups: Call for pricing. The Defensive Driving Course for Professional Truck Drivers is an online course that uses state-of-the-art animation, clear narration and interactive screens to teach defensive driving. Participants can train at their own pace, even in the comfort of their own home. Qualifies for insurance discount and WSI Safe Driver program.

School Bus Driver Training Course Length: 3 Hours Call for private course pricing. A minimum of 3 hours of bus driver training is required annually in North Dakota. Choose from more than 10 modules to customize a training workshop to fit your needs.
