Wind Farm Project Experience
Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Study, Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd - Scotland, U.K.The design of various specialised fire rated modules with a minimum life expectancy
of 25 years. The units have been designed to withstand even the most hostile offshore
and marine environments. Every aspect of the equipment installation, serviceability
and maintenance was addressed as part of the FEED, providing a cost effective and
fully integrated modularised design suitable for the installation onto the transformer
platform topside.
Grouting of Offshore Wind Turbine Foundations - U.K. & EuropeRental of a wide range of cargo carrying units to support cementing and grouting
activities for wind turbine installation. These include heavy lift open top containers
with a MGW of 25,000kg, boat skips, baskets and workshops. These are available from
our standard rental fleet for can be built to specific client requirements.
North Sea Wind Farm ProjectsDesign and build 10 ultra heavy duty 20ft open top containers to the latest DNV
2.7-1 specification with payload capacity of over 22,000kg. The units were used for
the transportation of raw materials for the construction of foundations offshore for a
number of wind farm projects in Europe.
Ormonde Wind Farm Project - Irish SeaDesign and build a 32ft x 11ft x 10ft A60 fire rated module for use as an emergency
refuge / overnight shelter located on the main infield transformer platform.
Accommodation for up to 6 people including bunks, built-in kitchen, TV area, toilets
and lockers.
London Array, Thames Estuary - U.K.Design and build 18 Local Equipment Room (LER) modules to house electrical
switchgear, workshops and emergency accommodation on the offshore sub-station
platforms. Equipped with HVAC & fully pressurised, AISC Structural code. The modules
were shipped to Belgium for integration with the topsides before transportation
offshore for final installation.
