What is the purpose of these? What are they used for?
DNADNA: deoxyribonucleicacid DNA is genetic material of living organisms that is located in the chromosomes of each cell. DNA is what tells each different type of cell exactly what to do!

1800s – DNA was first isolated; Gregor Mendel conducted experiments with pea plants
1900s – Scientists began to believe that DNA might store genetic information
1929 – 3 Major components of DNA (Deoxyribose sugar (S), phosphate group (P), and nucleic acid (A,T,G,C) were identified
1953 – Watson, Crick, and Wilkins awarded the Nobel Prize for their discovery of the structure of DNA
