Changing the way data links perform in ISTAR missions
Keeping pace with the growing operational requirements The traditional ISR operation is transforming and nontraditional ISR capabilities are added up so as to increase War-Fighters Survivability and Seamless Operations by real time processing of the ISR information into a comprehensive warfare situation picture.
The emerging use of UAV platforms operations is challenging in terms of mission control and sensor information dissemination within Line Of Sight (LOS) and beyond, while Close Air Support (CAS) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) capabilities are becoming a must-have.
In the Sensor area, the traditional video-imaging pin-pointing is rapidly replaced by high speed sophisticated Visual Intelligence Scanning Sensors that cover large areas with high resolution, day and

night capabilities that accumulate a huge data base of information and that evolution changes the ways data links are required to perform.
DLV-53 MF provides reliable, real-time, high capacity performance Rafael introduces DLV-53 MF, a cost-effective wideband data link solution designed for ISTAR applications that enables real-time, high capacity performance of a full duplex link.
The system provides multi-dimensional flexibility with adaptive code modulation (ACM) and simultaneous operation in both Ku & C bands while supporting data rates up to 274Mbps, selectable in real time, from the ground and operating seamlessly with any standard Internet browser at standard 1 Giga Bit Ethernet. The attainable ranges are beyond 300 km.

DLV-53 MFApplications
Airborne reconnaissance pods and targeting pods
Multi-role UAS platforms
Aerostat-borne surveillance missions
Multi-platform data links
Relay mission beyond line of sight
Simultaneous close air support missions
Designed for seamless integration DLV-53 MF consists of an airborne segment and a ground segment supporting a secure link. It utilizes the latest technology with an open architecture transceiver, where a single unit is simultaneously ready for point-to-point LOS, one-hop LOS Relay, SatCom and CAS/ATC waveforms.
Based on its advanced features, the DLV-53 MF integration aspects are reduced to minimum: the customer can add applications and sensors during the lifecycle of the system without further modifying the data link.
