Laying the Foundation of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS)

The year 1983 was the darkest period in the history of Punjab. The prosperous and eventful state was thrown into a blazing fire of violence and terrorism. It was against this backdrop that His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji appeared on the scene in Punjab and resurrected it to its bygone glory. The perpetual fear of war hanging over innocent people was totally uprooted and inter-faith harmony was re-established; with peaceful methods of counseling, discoursing and Brahm Gyan (eternal science of self-realization) based Meditation

Touching the chords of Humanity all across the World

Realizing the eternity of knowledge transmitted and imparted by Sh. Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, people from all walks of life, caste, creed, and religion came forward to get blessed and initiated by Him. Hence His following took a quantum leap in numbers and stretched globally across diverse demographic boundaries.

Restoring Cosmic Balance by generating positivity

His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji's universal approach is not limited to geographical boundaries but concerns overall cosmic peace and balance. The fine balance of cosmos gets disrupted at the increase in negativity produced by human malfunction which in itself is a result of negative tendencies of human mind. So it's important to combat the vicious cycle countering the load of negativity with much needed positive energy. As proven by Dr. Msaru Emoto of Japan that subtle thoughts can bring about gross changes. Therefore, by conducting huge number of massive spiritual events with immense number of following meditating and single point contemplation on positive thoughts of God; infinitesimal amount of positivity is generated for the whole cosmos.

A huge number of young and dynamic volunteers, realizing and appreciating the nobility of His mission, started pouring in and offered to work for the mission of "World Peace" selflessly. Today, DJJS has a band of these well-educated and selfless spiritual soldiers, spreading the message of Brahm Gyan across the world. Realizing their larger human responsibility many crossed their personal boundaries of family and profes-sional careers too, to join full time (as sanyasis) the societal transformation movement initiated by Sh. Ashutosh Maharaj Ji - DJJS.

As His message of practical spirituality as an imperative tool for societal transformation and welfare got credence with a swift momentum, the mission went global. And today DJJS is active-ly enhancing access of the divine tool of practical spirituality - Brahm Gyan to large number of people through around 350 centers in different parts of the country and abroad.

HIS IDEOLOGY

The spiritual saga undertaken by Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is greatest of the great for its strength, depth and vision. Like the Perfect Masters in the past, the Master’s outlook is universal. And most of the universal systems are directly managed or indirectly influenced by humans. Therefore, to bring a change in the world, the change needs to be triggered in its basic unit, i.e. human. A simple hierarchy underlies this belief of the Master:

However, an individual himself is an integrated unit of multifarious dimensions, which can be delineated through the following order oriented from, outside to within in terms of subtlety and supremacy:

On this basis, for a change to be wholesome and non-relapsing, it has to sprout at the root level of complete human personality – Inner Self.No intellectual knowledge or outside methodologies suffice in bringing a transformation in individual’s action and behavioural pattern. Human action is the result of human thought. Therefore, to control human action, human thoughts have to be gauged. A bundle of thoughts make up human mind which can only be altered through the superior faculty of the Soul. For that, the soul must be awakened.

As has been proclaimed by all our Scriptures in unison, this awakening is possible only through the Divine Knowledge - eternal science of Brahm Gyan. Divine in itself is something out the world, hence, the knowl-edge – Brahm Gyan is a rare and difficult to master technique. But this epoch is fortunate to have revered perfect spiritual master - Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who has not just mastered this rare science of Brahm Gyan but has also revealed it. And who has not just revealed it but made it reachable to masses which is again rare or may be first time in the history of mankind. The master is using this technique of self-awakening through divine knowledge as a unique tool to realize the vision of global peace.

THE FUNDAMENTAL TOOL: DIVINE KNOWLEDGE

Brahm Gyan is the eternal science of Self Realisation. It is the immediate and direct perception of the Inner Self (Soul/Atman - Particle of Parmatman) at the very moment of initiation. In spiritual parlance, it is the process of seeing and realising the True Self (Atman) within the human body through the subtle faculty of Third Eye (Divine Eye). The process of initiation into Brahm Gyan necessarily entails supra-sensorial percep-tions of the inner-world in the form of Divine Light, Divine Music, Holy Name and Holy Nectar which are indications of the authenticity of the Divine Knowledge – Brahm Gyan and the Perfect Spiritual Master:

When a person gets initiated into the eternal science of Self Realisation, Brahm Gyan, he becomes equipped with the art of practically perceiving the light of his inner conscience. This results in a total transformation in his mindset. How? It can be understood in the language of both, science as well as metaphysics.

Scientifically, as has been revealed through several research findings, when a person is initiated into the technique of inner-self awakening through meditation, his pineal gland becomes activated. This activation results in the secretion of endorphin, serotonin and melatonin hormones in him. The direct and immediate consequence of this secretion is the inculcation of positive thoughts or vibrations within an individual, subse-quently alchemising his personality into a new and a positive one.

Prisoner Reformation & Rehabilitation Program - ( Antarkranti )

Prisoner Reformation & Rehabilitation Program is a path breaking initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, working to impact the areas of prisoner reformation, rehabilitation and reintegration since 1995. Currently, we reach out to 2,50,000 inmates; men, women & youth across 40 jails in India. At Antarkanti, we endeavor to eliminate the criminal and offensive instincts from the mind-sets of inmates using ‘Brahm Gyan’ to connect them with their spiritual self and awakening in them the eternal vital vigilance.

Antarkranti creates avenues & partnerships to provided mental health services, psychological counseling, skills and employment,education opportunities and post release short stay facilities to take inmates from punitive solitude to responsible social life.

Our Mission : To Check crime through reformation rejuvenation, rehabilitation & reintegration of prisoners.

Not all prisoners are Criminals : Among prisoners are those who are professional criminals, first time offenders, and innocents. The challenge remains to correct and reform criminals; make first time offenders withdraw from offensive mindsets & prevent innocents from criminalisation. Antarkranti is strategically working to provide a tangible solution to these inmates bound by the prison walls, giving them motivation, direction and prospects to live a life of virtue and dignity.

Mindset transformation through Spiritual Intervention

There has always been a need for correctional and transformational initiatives for prisoners in general and people with criminal inclination, in specific. Convicts face stress and depression due to desolation, abandonment, loneliness. and other mental health problems due to long term conviction. Here arises the need to involve them in activities that keep them engaged in a positive manner for improving and maintaining their healthy spiritual state of mind. Drug Abuse Eradication Program - ( Bodh )

Drug Abuse Eradication Program which aims at imparting the preventive education and enabling the abusers to overcome their mental obsession.

WE ARE PREVENTING EVEN THE FIRST USE OF DRUGS AMONGST THE YOUTH!

There is a common jargon amongst youth when it comes to experimenting with drugs out of curiosity – JUST TRY ONCE! However, there are 80% chances that people who experiment with drugs do become intensive drug users and develop serious drug-related health problems. Addiction is not an event which can be predicted rather it is a subtle process which enslaves one's mind that may not be apparent at the outset. Therefore, it is imperative to prevent even the first use of drugs especially the ones which are easy gateways such as tobacco, alcohol and beer. Someone has very rightly quoted "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Bodh – the Drug Abuse Eradication Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) is working incessantly on prevention of drug abuse especially amongst the youth incorporating plethora of information education and communication tools like rallys, street theater, road shows and training and capacity building workshops. Moreover, endorsing stringently the concept of prevention also reduces nation's financial burden of expensive treatments that go behind drug de-addiction.

WE ARE CREATING A DRUG FREE SOCIETY!

Drug Abuse impacts individual, family as well as the society at large. At the individual level it shackles one in a grip of physical sickness, mental illness and even death. It also finds a direct linkage to major fatal diseases such as cancer, heart diseases and HIV/AIDS. The suffering doesn’t limit itself to the abuser but affects abuser’s family and the community in various forms such as lost earnings, child abuse, violence against women, drugged driving and crime. Despite hundreds of trillions of money spent globally to curb the problem of drug abuse in the last 10 years the price of drugs has gone down, the purity of drugs has gone up, the usage of drugs has remained unaffected. Furthermore, the treatment process also shows a low success rate over the world. Therefore, identifying the root cause of addiction not at the physical but mental level, we work through a unique psychoanalytical tool – “Dhyan Therapy” to overpower the obsessed mental faculty and fetch permanent solution.

A Holistic Education Program- ( Manthan )

DJJS’s Holistic Education Program – epitomizesan internal evolution process that enables a child to reach out to his/her own self, realizing his latent potential. We believe strengthening the backbone of our country, helping in elimination of vices and laying a rock-like strong foundation for virtues.

Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says

“Any kind of education is justified only when it enables an individual to serve the society through the potent of his/her own wisdom”.

It works on building an overall character of a child through holistic education. It also focuses on empowering students through initiatives, like — capacity building, health care, nutrition, field visits and establishing a connection with his divine existence that rests in spirituality.

The program particularity focuses upon the underprivileged and underperforming children some of whom are drop outs or even first generation learners. The students are encouraged and motivated regularly. They are given individual attention and personal counseling. Mainstream education initiatives are promoted through DJJS non-formal schools (Sampoorna Vikas Kendras) in rural belts of Bihar and urban slums of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. The program extends its reach to empower women through education.

Natural Resource Management and Environment Protection Program - ( SANRAKSHAN )

Conservation is to protect, save and preserve that which is depleting fast. In the wake of the persisting environmental crisis, global leaders are supporting the cause of conservation; Water conservation to meet water crisis, forest conservation to check deforestation, energy conservation to meet energy crisis. But environment continues to be plundered and the cause of conservation remains defeated.

His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, avisionary, leading the mission of World peace, redefines the cause of conservation. He says,

“The cause of nature conservation will find its completeness only in the conservation of the fading human- nature relationship.”

A welfare program for visually impaired and physically disabled per-sons -(Antardrishti)

Its a unique platform that utilizes a holistic four-pronged approach which provides unparalleled stability and profound results in the quest of providing welfare for the differently-abled. Each of these vertices is imperative towards the success and sustainability which enables perfect social mainstreaming of the differently-abled.Antarkranti creates avenues & partnerships to provided mental health services, psychological counseling, skills and employment,education opportunities and post release short stay facilities to take inmates from punitive solitude to responsible social life.

It encourages creation of hygiene factors that help instigate individual desire to develop skills within an individual. We necessitate independent living and urge people with disabilities to lead independent lives

The spiritual empowerment and training in life skills, hard skills and soft skills helps develop the independent characters of the beneficiaries. Through self realization, they connect better with the responsibilities of life, and understand the need of making best use of available opportunities before them..

Activities of Antardrishti:By providing food to the hungry or clothes to the unclad we can only facilitate them momentarily. Why not lend them a technique, which awakens their inner potentialities, and make them self-dependent for lifetime?
