The recent food borne illnesses in Tuguegarao City resulting to fatality of two (2) pupils andincident in Makati City were hard lessons learned and a reminder of our role in protecting theand saiety of the school children. In lieu of these incidents; the Regional Health and NutritionStaff. Division Health and Nutrition Section Staff and Education Supervisors are instructed tomassive inspection of school canteens focusing on compliance to food safety standards andcompliance to DepED Order No.8, s. 2007 "Revised Implementing Guidelines on the.:mtlons and Management of School Canteens in Public Elementary and Secondary S c h o o t s ~ ' ;
