Mighty Mighty June Newsletter
Micki Hall; District Treasurer June, 2010
So it is finally summer and if you are like me, you are excited to finally be able to work on Key
Club stuff without worrying about your English essay or Chemistry Project that is due the next day. Now that
you are out for the summer you have a great deal of time to do whatever you need to do for your division
and prepare for the next year. Whatever grade you are going into, school will get stressful. The more work
you do during the summer, the easier it will be. So what can you do to increase the number of Early Bird clubs
within your division? What can you do to increase the amount of service performed in your community and
other communities in your division? Below is a list of things that you can do to make your division better than
ever. I will be giving out monthly tips like these, so keep a look out!
• Work with the weaker clubs on increasing their membership. The more members a club has,
the more service they can perform, therefore increasing the impact of Key Club.
o Provide them with Membership Development resources from keyclub.org.
• In this summer, I will be providing you with resources to help your club collecting and
registering for dues. I will be creating a Treasurer Plan that will have week-by-week plan of
action for club treasurers starting September 1st and ending when they are finished with the
dues process. I will be creating the same for Lieutenant Governors to make sure your clubs
are following the plan including things you can do to help. This will be a great way for both
treasurers and lieutenant governors to make sure they are doing what they can to get Early
Bird.
• One thing that is strongly encouraged for club treasurers to do is create a club budget. A
mock budget along with a step-by-step process for creating one will be sent out to all club
treasurers soon.
• Tell me how I can help. If you have goals that you might not know how to pursue concerning
dues, FLOF, reactivations of inactive or suspended clubs within your division, or anything else…
I can help! Please text me, facebook me, or email me if you need anything. Utilizing the
resources you are provided with such as the Executive Board will help you a lot.

the 2009/2010 year until October 1st). The 2009/2010 District Board
