DISADVANTAGES

Smaller ads may mean less money but also less publicity.

The adverts may be lost within the others from competitors.

Suitable for my target audience as they are more likely to see it.

For short periods of time the adverts can be quite cheap.

DISADVANTAGES

Depending on the duration of the advert the price can increase rapidly.

People won’t take your film as seriously as if you used a more traditional form of advertisement.

Hard to gain popularity.

Small chance of the video actually being seen if you are a first time movie maker.

Hard to advertise that form of distribution.

Immediate viewing instead of waiting for it to become available.

Very expensive. Target audience have to

travel to access cinema’s as well as pay to see the film.

May not do well in box office so money may not be recovered.

The most suitable form of marketing distribution would be print because there are several forms that appeal to different age groups so I would be able to target my audience through the form of print media. You can also organise the cost as there are several sizes of adverts that you can chose from. However with this the price could be quite high if you want your advert to stand out from competitors.

The most suitable form of presenting distribution would be cinema because it is a popular form of entertainment for my target audience and people have to pay to see the film so you will get the money the production costs back with sales. However there is a chance that the production won’t do well in box office and the film won’t be successful.
