Allmanna Sangen ranks among the fi nest choirs of Europe. Founded in 1830, AllmannaStinqer: isScandinavia' s oldes t univers ity choir . Since the early 1990's, the choral ensem-ble has won titles in every international competition it has ent ered. In recent years, thislegendary choir has been invited to perform abroad, resulting in several international tours.

I am excited to be conducting NobuoUematsu's captivating music with theesteemed Royal S tockholm Phi lharmo-nic Orchestra and to collaborate withhim in this exciting new production. Ifirst met Nobuo-san when I conduc-ted the "Dear Friends: music fromFINAL FANTASY" tour in 2005. It hasbeen a great joy to work with him onmany wonderful projects including theconcert and CD "More Friends: musicf rom FINAL FANTASY," and the concerttour "PLAY! A Video Game Symphony".I was also deeply honored to be in-vited by Uematsu-san and SQUAREEN IX to conduct the "VOICES: musicfrom FINAL FANTASY" performance inJapan in 2006. Performing and recor-ding these renowned works by the in-novat ive and talented composer NobuoUematsu has been a wonde rful expe -rience.
