Same basic video equipment as used for telemedicine
Telemedicine most often conducted hospital-to-hospital
For specialty care Current expansion into practice settings Video equipment becoming smaller, more
diffuse, more mobile and less expensive
Medical Students
Can interactively participate in lectures or mentoring from distant locations
Can sit with primary care physicians during a telemedicine consultation
Can accompany a specialist from KUMC during a consultation
Medical Residents
Can provide telemedicine services as component of residency training
Currently being done in pediatrics and adult psychiatry
Elluminate Live!
