    Chapter 1:- A unique art form (2400)

    Chapter One will explore the appeal of animated cartoons in general terms and how animation has its

    own identity as an art form.

    1. Focusing on character design and how this is used to convey communication, views and allowingthe expression of emotions.

    2. Focusing on comic relief and how this is used to convey humor.3. Introducing Tom and Jerryand giving a brief history of its making from MGM Studios to The

    Warner Bros Studios.

    4. Establish the appeal and success of the cartoon, looking at their first debuted animated short,Puss Gets the Boot(1940) and how this series of animated shorts became socially accepted for

    its stereotypes, violence, trendsetter for cultures and humor at the time.

    5. Introducing Bugs Bunnyand giving a brief history of its making and development in Warner BrosStudios.

    6. Establish the appeal and success of Bugs Bunny, looking at its first debut short, Porkys HareHunt(1939)and their series of shorts became accepted socially and culturally for its

    stereotypes, violence, trendsetter for cultures and humor at the time.

    Chapter 2: the political correctness, incorrectness and Case studies (2400)

    Chapter two will look at both the political correctness and incorrectness of stereotyping and violence

    found in character design.

    1. Discussing the political incorrectness like racial stereotypes and violent imagery and how thishas made an effect on children over the years as Aristotle predicted.

    2. Discussing the change of violent and racial history, briefly looking at the civil rights movement(1960) where African Americans have equal rights as does the Americans do.

    3. Briefly explaining the demonstration of the change in some other animations such asSunflower from Disneys Fantasia and Disneys Song of The South in terms of ethnicity, genderand class.

    4. Compare and contrast racial stereotyping and violence found in Tom and Jerry (1940) and in(2006) and explaining why it was politically incorrect-but acceptable at the time but was made

    correct as part of the change.

    5. Compare and contrast the racial stereotyping found in Bugs Bunny (1940) and its later episodein 2011 and explaining why it was politically incorrect for stereotyping but acceptable for the

    sort of violence at the time but was made correct as part of the change.

    Chapter 3 - Cartoons Against Political Correctness (2400)

    This chapter will look at how animations nowadays deals with political incorrectness into correctness

    1. Discuss and explore animations on how they deal with political correcting of animation likeprotests or showing the cultural/social truth.

    2. Examples of animation that protest against the political correction of animation include SouthPark, The Simpsons and The Cleveland Show.
