This month we will be welcoming Galungan & Kuningan Day, where the entire island of Bali will be gaily decorated and festive activities held across the island from 20th May to 31st May 2014. During the festival, the whole island sprouts tall bamboo poles called “penjor” – that are usually decorated with fruit, coconut leaves, and flowers, and set up on the right of the entrance of every home. It’s a colorful celebration to witness.

We also would like to invite you to join our new Theme Night Dinner, Balinese Buffet Dinner at The Pond and Oriental Buffet Dinner at Tepan Noodle Restaurant. Join us for a dining experience where you can savor opulence and an authentic flavor of Balinese culture and cuisine and our extensive Chinese Menu.

The prestigious triathlon is back this year in Jimbaran, and will feature an Olympic 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run as well as a Sprint 500m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run to the finish line in the scenic Jimbaran Bay.

Celebrating the arts and culture with a month-long of daily musical and performances, as well as exhibits. www.baliartsfestival.com.

Three-day event where the skies of Bali will be filled with giant, colorful kites. Historically, the event bears a religious message and intended to send a message to the Hindu Gods to create abundant crops and harvest.

Vesak or Waisak is a holiday observed traditionally by Buddhists, marking the birth of Prince Siddharta Gautama. Unique to Buddhists in Bali is that some rituals share slight resemblance to Balinese Hindu features, such as in the use of temple ornaments.

It’s a joyful day to celebrate the victory of goodness (dharma) against evil (adharma). On this day, offerings and praying are made to God and holy ancestral spirits who come down to earth.

This day believed to be the day when Gods and Goddesses accompanied by the holy ancestral spirits (pitara) come down to earth again to bless the people and the universe. It is believed that they will return to heaven in the midday.
