Throughout the month of May, communities and organizations across the 994-square-mile Heritage Area, home to over 750,000 people, offer free, public programs featuring a “hidden treasure.” Programs feature individual objects, documents, public monuments, buildings or landscapes and highlight exciting and unexpected stories about their past.
