Swami Bodhananda says:“By following the seven

spiritual laws, one can remainhappy and peaceful amidststrenuous and tiring activities inlife. The seven laws are:

• The Law of Brahman -Every individual is a field ofinfinite potentiality seeking self-expression, which is possible onlythrough altruistic activities.

• The Law of Maya -Change is a tool of Brahman’sexpression. Accept this fact and

face change by designinginnovative responses.

• The Law of Dharma -Every individual is unique, havingdifferent talents and needs. Talentsare to be expressed and needs are

to be fulfilled within the limits ofuniversal dharma.

• The Law of Karma -Everything in the phenomenalworld has a cause and aconsequence. Individuals createtheir destiny by their moment-to-moment choices and actions.

• The Law of Yajna -The existence of the world isbased upon the principle ofsacrifice - mutual nourishing andcherishing or give and take.Through sacrifice we receive;in possessing we perish.

• The Law of Yoga -The key to happiness isdetachment, the ability toimpartially witness our thoughts

and actions amidst interaction.Cherishing diverse perspectivesand solutions to issues of life isyoga.

• The Law of Leela -Effective individuals expendthe least energy facing life’schallenges. The relaxed andplayful mind gives maximumproductivity and enjoys theexperience of self-explorationand self-expression.

These laws are distilled fromHindu traditions dating to over7,000 years. By organising one’slife according to these laws, onecan experience ultimate freedomand lasting happiness”.

DRINKING WATER FOR CHILDREN

A much-needed drinking

water facility for the BVB-BBMP

Public School at Srirampapuram

in Bengaluru, became a reality

with the installation of an RO

water purification unit at the

school premises on March 20.

The Bengaluru Kendra accepted

with gratitude the RO plant

donated by Vijaya Bank,

Bengaluru.

Dr. Kishore Sansi, Managing

Director and Chief Executive

Officer of the bank inaugurated

the plant. Sri K. G. Raghavan,

Chairman of the school,

presided.

The plant, which has a

capacity of 1,000 litres per

hour, was supplied by M/s Tata

Projects Ltd. The project,

costing about Rs. 12 lakhs, is

supported by Rotary Bangalore

Indiranagar.

With this, the BVB-BBMP

Public School, Sriramapuram,

has notched up a few more

points in its favour as one

of the well-equipped,

child-centric schools

in the city.
