Conclusions

Aarhus Centre's integration into this project provided

a new dimension in work of our Centre.

The grant we received for the pilot project was a

great opportunity to acquire new knowledge and

skills of employees.

Also, this project has provided an opportunity for the

Centre to develop good cooperation with the

Municipality of Vogosca, which was affected by

disasters in 2014.

The Action Plan was drafted with the participatory

involvement of all stakeholders of Municipality of

Vogosca, who are involved in the issues of disaster

risk reduction, which gives it a special value.

Conclusions

The created Action plan has defined 16 concrete

actions to increase public awareness in the

Municipality of Vogosca, out of which five were

implemented by Aarhus Centre Sarajevo

Workshop participants showed interest, creativity

and an enviable enthusiasm and willingness to

volunteer in several specific activities.

Through the work on this project, we have

established contacts with the staff of the UNDP BiH

who work on DRR issues. For the purpose of the

workshops they have given us their translated

documents Sendai framework for disaster risk

reduction 2015-2030.
