TRAVELLING BY ROAD FROM THE SOUTH: Leave the M6 at Junction 32 (Broughton, Preston), the junction incorporates the M6 and M55 motorways and the A6 trunk road. Care should be taken to filter left following the ‘A6 Garstang’ lane indicators. On joining the A6, follow the ‘Garstang’ signs for 3¾ miles to a large sign on the left hand side of the road naming ‘Myerscough College’ (the show is clearly signposted from this point) and turn left along St Michaels Road, continue along this road for approx. 2 miles then bear left into Pinfold Lane where Redwood Park is ½ mile on your left.

TRAVELLING BY ROAD FROM THE NORTH: Leave the M6 at Junction 33 (Hampson Green). On joining the A6 travel south following ‘Preston’ signs for about 9 miles to a large sign on the left hand side of the road, naming ‘Myerscough College’ (the show is clearly signposted from this point) and then turn right into St Michaels Road continue along this road for approx. 2 miles then bear left into Pinfold Lane where Redwood Park is ½ mile on your left.

TRAVELLING BY ROAD FROM M55 & BLACKPOOL: Take junction 3 off the M55 towards Fleetwood (the show is clearly signposted from this point).

There is ample car parking, please ensure you follow the colour-coded car park pass to gain access to the car park near your tent/ring, then please follow the instructions of the car park staff that will ensure you are parked swiftly and safely.

It is in your interest to allow yourself plenty of time for your journey,particularly on Friday

DISABLED PARKINGThere will be approximately 60 disabled parking spaces which will be on a first come first serve basis, once these are filled we will try to get you as near as possible to the nearest entrance that we can, but we can only recommend that if you want to be sure of a parking space near the front you need to turn-up as early as possible.

NEW FOR 2015 • From 1st January 2015 dogs beaten in the Stakes/Variety classes will still remain

eligible to compete in the group competitions provided they have been declared Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed or Best Veteran in Breed.

• Dogs may be entered only in the stakes classes if this is the owners wish. Stakes Classes are charged at the Non-CC rate if not entered in a breed class.

BANK CHARGESExhibitors are asked to note that cheques (and credit card payments) sent to cover entry fees MUST be in order for IMMEDIATE PAYMENT. Those which are not for any reason whatsoever, including technical irregularities, will NOT be accepted and the entry therewith will be returned. Many Societies are now incurring substantial bank charges as a result of incorrectly completed or dishonoured cheques forwarded as payment for Show fees; therefore we will levy a surcharge of £20.00 per transaction on top of the amount outstanding to any exhibitor whose cheque is returned to us by the Bank. Any exhibitor failing to pay entry fees and/or bank charges so incurred will be referred to the Kennel Club.

WithdrawalfromCompetition:PuppieswhichbecomeeligibleforBestPuppyinGroupandBestPuppyinShowmaybewithdrawnfromallothercompetition,otherthanbreedclassesandBestPuppyinBreed,priortothecompetitionforBestPuppyinGroupandBestPuppyinShowasappropriate,inordertoremainunbeaten.ApuppybeatenincompetitionforBestPuppyinGrouporBestPuppyinShowmaysubsequentlybeexhibitedinallcompetitionforwhichitwaspreviouslyeligible.ThedogdeclaredBestPuppyinShow,however,mustnotcompeteinanysubsequentcompetition.PuppiesmaybewithdrawnfromAnyVarietyClasseswhenjudgedbeforeBreedClasses.

c. Proviso:ForthepurposeofthisRegulation,dogsbeatenincompetitionforStudDog,BroodBitch,Progeny,BraceandTeamoraSpecialAwardconfinedtoonebreedwillnotbeconsideredtobeabeatendog.

12. Best in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in competitions are suspended.

1) BestofBreed:WhereabreedisseparatelyclassifiedaBestofBreedmaybedeclaredbutonlyfromthosedogswhichhavereceivedafirstprizeinabreedclassattheshow.WhereseparateclassesareprovidedforeachsexofabreedaBestofeachSexmustbedeclared.

NOTE:TheBestofBreed/BestAnyVarietyNotSeparatelyClassifiedawardrelevanttoaCategory3BreedwillnotbeconfirmeduntilthedoghaspassedanexaminationbytheGeneralandGroupChampionshipShowVeterinarySurgeon.

3) BestinShow:From1stJanuary2015,andforaperiodoftwoyearstheKennelClubShowRegulationswhichstipulatethatdogsmustbeenteredandexhibitedinabreedclassbeforeexhibitinginanAnyVarietyClass/StakesClassandthatonlyunbeatendogsareeligibletocompeteinthegrouporbestincompetitionsaresuspended.BestinShowmustbeselectedfromtheBestofGroupwinnersprovidedtheyareunbeaten.ReserveBestinShowmustbeselectedfromtheremainingGroupwinnersfollowingtheselectionofBestinShow.

WithdrawalfromotherCompetition:DogswhichbecomeeligibleforBestofGroupandBestinShowmaybewithdrawnfromallothercompetitionotherthanbreedclassesandBestofBreedpriortothecompetitionforBestofGrouporBestinShowasappropriateinordertoremainunbeaten.AdogbeatenincompetitionforBestofGrouporBestinShowmaysubsequentlybeexhibitedinallcompetitionforwhichitwaspreviouslyeligible.ThedogsdeclaredBestinShowandReserveBestinShowhowever,mustnotcompeteinanysubsequentcompetition.DogsmaybewithdrawnfromAnyVarietyClasseswhenjudgedbeforeBreedClasses.

c. Proviso:ForthepurposesofthisRegulation,dogsbeatenincompetitionforStudDog,BroodBitch,Progeny,BraceandTeamoraSpecialAwardconfinedtoasinglebreed,willnotbeconsideredtobebeatendogs.

13. Admission to Best In Show:ExhibitswillnotbeadmittedtoBestinShowcompetitionafteraperiodoftenminuteshaselapsedsincetheannouncementthatexhibitsarerequiredforjudging,unlesstheyhavebeenunavoidablydelayedbypreviousjudgingnotbeingcompletedontime,andthenonlywiththespecialpermissionoftheShowManagement.

14. Schedule Amendments:NomodificationswillbemadetothisScheduleexceptbypermissionoftheGeneralCommitteeoftheKennelClub,whichwillbefollowedbyadvertisementintheCaninePresswhereverpossible.

15. Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition: AllexhibitorsmustbefamiliarwithKennelClubRegulationF(AnnexB)-RegulationsforthePreparationofDogsforExhibition.

16. Overseas Exhibitors:AlldogsresidentoutsideoftheUKmustbeissuedwithaKennelClubAuthoritytoCompetenumberbeforeentrytotheshow/eventcanbemade.AlloverseasentrieswithoutanAuthoritytoCompetenumberwillbereturnedtotheexhibitor/competitor.

17. Dogs in Cars on Hot Days:YourdogisvulnerableandatriskduringhotweatherandtheKennelCluboffersthefollowingguidancetohelpguideyouthroughthedo’sanddon’tstravellingtoandwhilstatKClicensedevents.

• Whentravellingtoashowpleasetakeamomenttoconsiderwhethertheroutetotheshowisonabusyholidayroute,andleaveearliertoavoidincreasedtimeintrafficjams.

19. Change of Judge:Shouldanyjudgebepreventedfromfulfillingtheirengagement,theExecutiveCommitteereservetothemselvestherightofappointingotherJudgestofulfilltheirduties.Exhibitorsareatlibertytowithdrawfromcompetitionbutnoentryfeescanberefunded.

20. Refunds and Cancellation:TheCommitteemayhavetocanceltheshowduetoevents,circumstancesorcausesbeyonditsreasonablecontrol, includingbutnot limited to,storm,flood,earthquake,subsidence,epidemicorothernaturaldisaster,extremeadverseweatherconditionsandanyenvironmentalissueaffectingorsuspectingtheshowprecinctmakingtheshowprecinctunusableorunsafe,andwheretheCommitteecancelstheshowmorethan8(eight)weeksbeforethedateofthefirstdayoftheshow,[orwhereyougivenoticeinwritingwithastampedaddressedenvelopetotheCommitteecancellingyourentrymorethan8(eight)weeksbeforethedateofthefirstdayoftheshow],theCommitteemay,atitsdiscretion,offerarefundoftheamountoftheentryfeeprepaidbyyou,afterdeductingthecostsreasonablyincurredbytheCommitteeinpreparationfortheshow.Wheretheshowiscancelledlessthan8(eight)weeksbeforethedateofthefirstdayoftheshow,oronanydayoftheshow[orwhereyoucancelyourentry]theCommitteewillbeunabletoofferanyrefunds.

21. Dog Fouling:Anyowner,competitor,handlerorotherpersoninchargeofadogisrequiredtoremoveassoonaspossibleanyfoulingcausedbytheirdog(s)atanyKennelClublicensedshowwithinthelicensedvenueandwithintheenvironsofthateventincludingcarandcaravanparksandapproaches.Adequatereceptaclesforthedisposalofsuchfoulingwillbeprovided.

22. Gangways:Gangwaysmustbekeptclearatalltimes.Anyobstructions,includingdogboxes,leftingangwayswillberemovedbytheShowManagement.

23. Exclusion of Dogs:TheCommitteeisempoweredtoexcludeorremoveanydogwhich,intheopinionoftheShowManagementand/ortheVeterinarySurgeonisnotinafitstateforexhibitionowingtodisease,viceoranyothercause.Ifsuchexclusiontakesplaceeitherbeforeorafterthedogisjudged,theentrancefeewillbeforfeited.

24. Safety of Dogs:TheCommitteewillnotberesponsiblefortheloss,detentionof,ordamagetoanydog,personorpropertywhetherarisingfromaccident,oranyothercausewhatever,orfromanyactoromissionofitself,itsofficers,agents,servantsorothersorthedamagedonebytheexhibitortoanypersonorproperty.

25. Conversation:Isnotallowedinthejudgingring.ExhibitorsshowingdogsarenotpermittedtoholdconversationwiththeJudgesduringcompetitionandanyexhibitorwhopersistsinaddressingtheJudgeafterbeingrequestednottodosobytheRingSteward,theJudgeoranyMemberoftheCommittee,maybedisqualifiedandanyprizeawardedtohisorherdog(s)beforfeited.Nopersonsotherthantheexhibitors(Officialsexcepted)willbeallowedintheringduringjudgingofclassesorspecials.

26. Benching of Dogs:TheCataloguewillcontaintheowner'snameandaddressinalphabeticalorder,dogswillbebenchedinthisorder.Undernocircumstancesmaypartitionsbetweendogsberemoved.Nodogmayberemovedfromitsbenchexceptforthepurposeofbeingpreparedforexhibition,judged,exercised,orbyorderoftheVeterinarySurgeonorShowManagement.Afterbeingpreparedforexhibitionthedogmustbereplacedonitsbench.Nodogshallbeabsentforthepurposeofexerciseformorethan15minutes.Dogsmaynotbepresentattheringsideexceptwhentheirbreedisbeingjudged.TheCommitteewillnotberesponsibleifadogisnotavailableintheringwhenrequiredforjudging.

27. Responsibility:TheCommitteewillnotbeinanywayresponsibleforanyclaimforinjuryorcompensationoccasionedbyorarisingoutoftheholdingoftheShoworbyanyotherreasonoftheactofdefaultofanypersoninattendanceorpresentthereat.BlackpoolChampionshipDogShowdonotacceptanyresponsibiltyforloss,damageortheftofanytables,cages,boxesorpersonaleffectsatthisShow.

28. Safety Officer:ASafetyOfficerwillbeinattendancethroughouttheShow.ExhibitorsandspectatorsareremindedthatjustasBlackpool&DistrictCanineSocietyhasaresponsibilitytoensurethehealthandsafetyofallthoseattendingtheirevent,allthosepresenthaveadutyofcarefortheirownsafety.Theyarethereforeexpectedtotakethegreatestofcaretoavoidguyropes,unevensurfacesandotherhazardswhichareinevitableandanintegralelementofanoutdoorsdogshow.Thosebringingandusingportableitemsofequipmentsuchasfoldingchairs,trolleys,cagesandgroomingtablesalsohaveadutyofcaretothemselves,theirequipmentandtheirdogs.Exhibitorsarealsoremindedthattheyshouldwearappropriatefootwearfortheprevailingconditionsonsite(i.e.wetgrass);exhibitorsshowattheirownriskifconditionsarenotideal.

29. Alterations: Anannouncementpriortothedateofclosingofentriesinthecaninepressand/orourwebsiteofanyalterationoradditionmadebytheCommitteetotheScheduleorintheseRegulationsshallbesufficientnoticethereof.

30. Abusive Behaviour:TheSocietywillnottolerateanykindofabusivebehaviourtoitsOfficers,Committeeorstaffonitsshowground,carparksorcaravanpark,anyonefoundtobebehavinginthismannerwillbeaskedtoleaveandareportwillbesenttotheKennelClub.

31. Photography and Filming: ThetakingofphotographsontheshowgroundforsaleorrewardisstrictlyprohibitedexceptwiththewrittenpermissionoftheOrganisers.

32. Overnight Parking:Overnightparkingischargedat£5.00pernight(NOTtoincludecamping). 33. Nothingmaybecarried,wornordisplayedbyahandleroradogintheringwhichiscapableofindicatingtheidentityoftheexhibit,owneror

companywhichmightbesponsoringthathandlerordog.NormustanythingbesaidoranyactionbetakenwhichidentifiestheexhibitotherthanbyexhibitnumbersuppliedbytheSociety.

34. ParentswillbeheldresponsibleforanydamagetopropertyorequipmentcausedbytheirchildrenwithintheenvironsoftheShow. 35. ShouldanyquestionarisewhichisnotprovidedforintheseRules&RegulationsthedecisionoftheCommitteeshallbefinal,subjectto

appealtotheKennelClub. 36. AdogmaybedisqualifiedbytheGeneralCommitteefromanyaward,whetheranobjectionhasbeenlodgedornot,ifprovedamongstother

thingstohavebeen:a)registeredorrecordedashavingbeenbredbythescheduledJudge.ThisshallnotapplytoaJudgeappointedinanemergency;b)exhibitedwithoutpaymentofappropriateentryfees.

DEFINITIONS OF CLASSESInthefollowingdefinitions,aChallengeCertificateincludesanyShowawardthatcountstowardsthetitleofChampionundertheRulesofanygoverningbodyrecognisedbytheKennelClub.WinsatChampionshipShowsinbreedclasseswhereChallengeCertificatesarenotonoffershallbecountedaswinsatOpenShows.InthecaseofadogownedinpartnershipandenteredinMembers'classesorcompetingforMembers'SpecialseachpartnermustatthetimeofentrybeamemberoftheSociety.Inestimatingthenumberofawardswon,allwinsuptoandincludingtheseventhdaybeforethedateofclosingofentriesshallbecountedwhenenteringforanyclass,i.e.Tuesday, 28th April 2015.WinsinVarietyclassesdonotcountforentryinBreedclassesbutwhenenteringforVarietyclasses,winsinbothBreedandVarietyclassesmustbecounted.AFirstPrizedoesnotincludeaSpecialPrizeofwhatevervalue.AdogisnoteligibleforentryinVarietyClasses(excludingAVNSCClasses)unlessalsoenteredandsubsequentlyexhibitedinaBreedclasswheresuchaclassisprovidedforwhichitiseligible.ExemptionsfromthisRegulation:- (1) Apuppy,unlessaclassfordogsundertwelvemonthsofageforwhichitiseligibleisprovidedforthebreed. (2) AdoginAnyVarietyFieldTrialorWorkingTrialClass. (3) AdoginAnyVarietyVeteranClass. (4) AdoginAnyVarietyChampionClass. (5) Adogwhichiswithdrawnfromexhibitioninbreedclassesasaresultoftheappointmentofanemergencyjudge. (6) AdoginYKCStakesClasses. (7) AdoginGoodCitizenSchemeClasses. (8) ExhibitsbredbythescheduledbreedJudge.Ifanexhibitorreportsbeforethejudgingofaclassorclassesthatadoghasbeenenteredwhichisineligible,theexhibitormaychooseoneofthefollowingoptions: (1) Withdrawal ThedogmaybewithdrawnfromcompetitionsubjecttotheconditionsofRegulations9(j)and20.

b) IfanexhibitisenteredincorrectlyinaMinorPuppyclass,PuppyclassorJuniorclass,whichisoveragebutundertwelvecalendarmonthsofage,eighteencalendarmonthsofageortwentyfourcalendarmonthsofagerespectively,theShowSecretaryshalltransfertheexhibittothePuppyclass,JuniorclassorYearlingclassrespectivelyforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheightandintheeventoftherebeingnoPuppy,JuniororYearlingclasstotheOpenclassforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheight.

c) Foranyreasonotherthantheabove,theShowSecretaryshalltransferittotheOpenclassforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheight.

d) Ifanexhibitarriveslateandmissesaclass,evenifitistheonlyclassinwhichthedogisentered,thedogmaynotbetransferredtoanyotherclass.
