Directions for the CA Lapbook This lapbook was created as a teaching tool for a homeschool class I currently teach. Therefore, the details and teaching materials are not included. You will have to supply your student or let him/her do the research independently. Create your lapbook: Two manila file folders, place them one on top of the other, and staple in the center to form a book. There is a page in this book that has names of each period. Just cut out those names and include them on the corresponding page. Or you can simply handwrite the titles for each page. Actually a lapbook is more than just cutting and pasting; feel free to add any drawings or handwritten notes to each page. Make it your own! I hope you find what I have created useful and fun. Enjoy your study of the History of our beautiful California Republic.
