There are differing drive and control hydraulicdemands for excavators, these are dependenton the machine size and area of application. This leads to the use of differing systems.

The Mannesmann Rexroth group of companies with its businesssectors of Rexroth Hydraulics, Brueninghaus Hydromatik andLohmann + Stolterfoht are in the position of being able to provideall systems from one supplier.

When defining drive and control concepts, our aim is to selectthe most economic and optimum technical solutions. We are ableto select in close collaboration with the machine manufactureroptimum solutions.

Our project engineers have extensive experience in the design ofdiffering machines and systems:

  • 6LUDV control

1.5 circuit system - an open circuit slew drive (example: 15 ton wheeled excavator)

Particularly advantageous system forexcavators that are used as materialloading machines or those thatperform lifting functions

k Independent slew drive function withabsolute priority

k Favourable boosting, system cooling andfiltration via the slew drive pump

k Higher pressures are permitted on theslew drive than the main circuit, therefore,it is possible to utilise a smaller slew drivemotor

k Defined power allocation to the slew drive

k Additional auxiliary actuators can besupplied by the slew drive pump via opencenter control valves

    Applications are

    k Compact and standard excavators

    k Telescopic excavators
