Government Polytechnic Gadag, is an AICTE approved technical institute under the Department Of Collegiate and Technical Education started in the year 2008. It has own 5 acre campus, a main building, a girls and boys hostel, classroom for various faculties including Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science and Electronics & Communication, Workshop, Computer Lab, Electrical & Electronics lab, Library and other facilities and has the capacity to groom more than 180 students in various engineering fields every year.

Firstly, I am extremely privileged to step-in as a Principal of Government Polytechnic Gadag, which is a branch under the tree of Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. Our institute has been spread across a beautiful building and campus of about five acres with all the modern amenities. We are a prestigious Government Organization being a beacon of light for technical education in Gadag district, facilitating, educating & training the students with much needed knowledge. Our vision is to create the temple of knowledge and our endeavour, year after year, has been to keep adding to that temple so as to create wonderful windows of opportunity for all who pass out from here.

Our faculty and our infrastructure are our greatest strength. Our faculty being technical professionals believe in constantly updating their knowledge through higher education and training on various new-age engineering & technology. The academic results, successful placements & students’ enrolment to B.E each year, bear the testimony to that fact. We have been gifted with the state-of-the-art infrastructure to facilitate and computer based learning for our students.

Our aspiration is not just to impart knowledge but also to shape employable professionals. We fulfil this aim by having many personality development programmes for the youth and other programmes.
