Every species of animal which God had created were preserved in the ark. The confused species which God did not create, which were the result of amalgamation,

were destroyed by the flood. (Spiritual Gifts, vol. 3, p. 75)

Amalgamation--a combining

“The typical dinosaur anatomy is a combination of the characteristics of several vertebrate classes, including reptiles, birds, and mammals. The dinosaurs, along with many other extinct vertebrates, such as

marine reptiles, flying reptiles, and mammal-like reptiles, appear to be amalgamations of

the characteristics of different classes of vertebrates.” (David C. Neal, Dinosaurs: An Adventist View, p. 491; emphasis supplied)

“. . . there are no remains of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, or mammal-like reptiles in any layer

of rock deposited after the Flood. . . .Had dinosaurs been taken aboard the ark and

reproduced after the Flood, we would expect to find at least some of their remains in post-Flood

strata. That no such remains have ever been found is compelling evidence that the dinosaurs

were not take aboard the ark and did not survive the Flood.” (Ibid., pp. 497, 498)

Soon after the flood the race began to rapidly decrease in size, and in

length of years. There were a class of very large animals which perished at the flood. God knew that the strength

of man would decrease, and these mammoth animals could not be

controlled by feeble man. (Spiritual Gifts, vol. 4a, p. 121)

19

But if there was one sin above another which called for the

destruction of the race by the flood, it was the base crime of amalgamation of man and beast which defaced the image of God, and caused confusion

everywhere. (3SG, p. 64)

Scientists had hoped to obtain DNA of dinosaurs from fossils and clone them and create a Jurassic Park, but they recently gave up

on that idea. Praise God!
