Introduction

Key Facts Promotional MUX (with Dummy Programs): Allows users to advertise “coming-soon” programming

by setting up and multiplexing into their current stream N number of Dummy Program commercials Enhanced SPF: allows users to upload their own still pictures, or streams. Each sub-program in the RF

channel can be configured to have its own unique SPF displayed with its valid PSIP information. HourlyID: Allows users to create/display custom hourly station identification. The time source can be

referenced from either STT (from the stream) or NTP. The user can also manually reset the time to the beginning of each day.

Enhanced EAS: Supports two EAS streams input over IP (so one can be the primary and the other one is the secondary, as a backup) from different IP/port. Supports multicast or unicast.

Input: Supports TSoIP and ASI inputs. PSIP generation: Supports manual entry of PSIP information and TSID for incoming streams. Output bit rate user configurable: Allows users to set output bit rates, helpful for ATSC1.0/3.0

compatibility. Enhanced GUI: System level block diagram showing overall status of the transmitter system.

The ANYWAVE Data Processor Enhanced 3 module is designed to keep any TV station on-air evenwith the loss of the transmitter input signal, to promote/advertise future “coming-soon” additionalchannels with “Dummy Program” commercials for future programing, to provide an hourly station IDnotification, to provide Emergency Alert Services as the main service or as a back up system, whilekeeping an eye on the future with an optional ATSC3.0 gateway upgrade combined with the Anywave5X+ Exciter to move to the new ATSC3.0 standard. DPE3 stands for “Data Processor with Enhancedfeatures”, Enhanced SPF/EAS/GUI, and more! The system is installed prior to the Anywave 5X+ exciter,or any other manufacturers exciter that has an ASI input. If connected to an Anywave Transmitter italso includes a simplified system schematic graphical user interface and display, to show the currentstatus of all key assemblies inside the transmitter.

• Easy to install• Easy to set up• Provides unique features for ALL broadcast stations• Installs prior to existing exciter (even OEM)

Features

General Overview

SPF The SPF function allows you to put

your logo and your message on every program in the even to of a complete loss of video and audio input, even if it is TSoIP or ASI. The display can be a static picture or a 1 minute video with audio. The static pictures or transport streams can be uploaded easily and remotely and no expensive software is required.

MUX The DPE-3 allows the

generation of dummy channels allowing you to promote future channels. Allows user to add up to 3 dummy programs into the input stream. User can manually enter information for dummy program(s), including program numbers, source ID, short names, major channel numbers, minor channel numbers

RECORD The DPE-3 allows the

user to record up to 1 minute of both input and output streams so that these may be easily analyzed. User can export streams in TS file format and save them in any local PC. This is very convenient for stations being fed via IP input and if the station encounters transport stream breakup and is not able to determine the location of the problem.

and PAT/PCR/Video/Audio PIDs. The temporary display allows the promotion of future programs on that channel, and ensures viewers do not have to rescan when the permanent new channel is available.

EAS Supports two EAS stream inputs

over IP, so that one can be the primary (EAS1) and the other one (EAS2) as a secondary or back up. Whenever any of the two EAS inputs are present, DPE3 switches to EAS signals automatically, and resumes to main signals only after both EAS signals have stopped. Keeps all PSIP information of the original main signals. Support Unicast and Multicast. Works with most EAS generators with IP outputs.

PSIP The DPE-3 provides an

inexpensive PSIP Generation system. It provides the option to either pass through or deliver a complete new set of PSIP data to all streams. A user can manually enter PSIP information, including short names, major channel numbers, minor channel numbers and TSID.

More Features

HOURLY ID The DPE-3

provides an inexpensive hourly station ID function for every program channel . Allows user to upload any still picture or stream with audio, to display on the screen at the beginning of every hour, or pre-set time after the hour. For different programs in one RF channel, users can have different displays with the appropriate valid PSIP information. Both offset time and duration are user configurable. Supports time synchronization either from NTP or STT.

parts of the transmitter and is identified by a GREEN is GOOD and RED IS BAD status. The left hand side of the screen are links to all the sub-device web pages for easy management. User can employ the settings section to set network sections for each sub-device.

Configuration (for ATSC1.0 and ATSC3.0)

GUI The DPE-3 provides an

enhanced Graphical User Interface for Anywave Transmitters. Ideal for non-technical operators. At the top of the screen it shows the power and RF performance. The center of the screen displays all the important
