To the viewer, This digital portfolio is an illustration of my

years as a writer and student of literature. You will see my favorite books from my elementary school days which helped lay the foundation of my writing skills to the novels and biographies from my middle school days AND FINISHING WITH THE more advanced and complex novels of high school WHERE I POLISHED AND PREPARED MY COMPOSITION ABILITIES FOR COLLEGE. I hope you enjoy this collection of my growth as a writer and appreciate my perspective of my future.

My name is Jack Eikenbary and I am a senior at Kellam High School. I will be attending Virginia Tech this Fall of 2009 and will be majoring in Media Communication and concentrating in Broadcasting. There are many aspects of life that I value but nothing comes close to how much I appreciate my family and my friends. I have the best family that any son, grandson, brother, cousin, or nephew could ask for. They have always supported me in anything I have pursued and have literally been there since my first day in preschool and will be in attendance at my high school Graduation. My friends are also an intricate part of my life and are very important to me. I enjoy their company as much as anyone’s. They are my other support system and we always have fun times when we hang out. I am an avid fan of Ohio State University football and basketball. Anyone who knows me knows that I live and breathe Buckeye sports and I absolutely despise the University of Michigan (if you can call it that). The “Maize and Blue” make me sick and I am filled with joy each time Ohio State beats Michigan. One of the happiest moments of my life was when Ohio State upset Miami (FL) in triple overtime in the 2002 NCAA Football National Championship game to complete a perfect 14-0 season. I hope to attend The Ohio State University to earn my Master’s Degree after attaining my Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree. I hope to become a sports broadcaster for a major sports network, start a family, own two vacation homes, and live comfortably for the rest of my life.
