TEACH: Planning Lessons A Lesson planning page provides all the information and materials you need to teach the lesson. The information below will help you navigate the content available within the Lessons. Navigate a Lesson Planning Page When you arrive in a Lesson planning page, you can:

1. Return to the Level and Module landing pages, or

go to the next or previous lesson

2. Jump directly to a Section within the Lesson 3. View Standards, Key Questions, and Materials

associated with the lesson 4. Launch the Presentation for the Lesson 5. View the Lesson’s teacher guidance

View Lesson Resources Most lessons include resources, such as worksheets, videos, or assessments. Some Lessons include teacher presentation slides and/or student interactive slides, with which students will engage during the lesson. From a Lesson planning page you can:

6. View a slide that accompanies a section of text 7. Move to the Previous and Next slides, or jump to

the Previous and Next activities in the Lesson

8. Preview the slide in a full-screen, interactive experience

9. Click on a resource to preview it

TEACH: Presenting The Teach experience offers a robust in-class lesson facilitation tool that provides teachers with everything they need to present lessons during class, monitor student work on digital activities in real time, capture examples of student work, and facilitate engaging discussion in a live setting. Launch the Presentation

1. The presentation tools can be accessed from within Lessons by clicking the Present button.

2. Select the class to which you are presenting.

Present and Monitor The presentation tool offers the following options:

3. Select a slide to view or present 4. View student screens in real time (for

lessons with digital student activities)

5. Capture snapshots of student work

6. Track student progress through the lesson with Student Tracker

7. Create discussion slides in the Snapshot Gallery

Snapshots and Discussions From the Snapshots Gallery, you can:

8. View all snapshots captured during the lesson

9. Assemble the snapshots into discussion slides to present to the class

ASSIGN: Creating, Scoring, and Managing Assignments The Assign space is where a teacher can track, manage, monitor, review, and score all class assignments. From this page you can:

1. Switch between Active/Past Assignments and Upcoming Assignments

2. View the assignment

3. Score an assessment

4. Create a new assignment

ASSESS: Viewing and Selecting Assessments The Assess space is where you can find and view assessments available in Eureka Math2.

2. Filter for different assessment types

4. View an assessment by clicking on the assessment title

5. View standards associated with an assessment

Student Dashboard The student dashboard serves as the landing page and assignment list for students. From this screen, students can:

1. Join an in-progress digital lesson 2. Access and complete assessments 3. Access and complete assignments

4. View previously completed assignments in

the student Locker

5. Access virtual manipulative tools

Completing Assignments Students can complete and submit assignments digitally.

6. View assignment instructions

7. Annotate and draw on a document (for document-based assignments)

8. Add files and documents to the assignment folder to submit to the teacher

Completing Assessments Students can complete and submit online assessments and quizzes. Options available to students include:

1. Text to speech reading of the assessment content

2. Answer questions digitally

3. Tools to track and review progress through the assessment

Locker: Viewing Past Assignments In Locker, students can review past assignments and assessments that have been completed.

Coming Soon!

Eureka Math2 users for the 2021–2022 school year have early access to the new Great Minds Digital Platform. Great Minds is continually working to improve the digital platform experience by adding tools and features to support teachers and students. Below are just a few upgrades coming soon—keep an eye out for announcements from Great Minds as these options become available!

• Assignment Scoring: Teachers will be able to set a point value for—and score—any assignment.

• Assignment and Assessment Monitoring: Teachers will be able to monitor student progress on assignments, including the ability to see which students have started or completed each assignment.

• Assignment Settings: Teachers will be able to turn on text-to-speech tools for students in

Assessments.

• Pacing Controls in Presentations: Teachers will have access to pacing controls within a digital lesson, making it easier to pause for classroom discussion at designated points.

• Assignable Interactive Videos: Interactive On My Own videos will be available for lessons

beginning in Module 2 of each grade level. These videos will help instruct on the concept of the lesson and can be assigned to students.

• Additional Student Features for Equip: Students will be able to see visual indicators for their

itemized scoring for each assessment question, as well as their general score for the assessment.
