Digital Manager
About…
Today, thousands of children will become slaves. Taken to work in brothels, sweatshops, as domestic workers. One every 30 seconds. Do you care about this? As in really care? If you do, then read on.
Justice and Care exists to bring freedom to people and communities living in the grip of slavery. We rescue women and children who have been brutally exploited. We restore their lives. We fight slavery, pursuing and dismantling criminal networks and bringing perpetrators to justice. We secure communities at risk from traffickers and spark systemic change.
We have a strong track record of impact. We have:
‣ 4,684 Lives saved ‣ 1,091 Arrests made ‣ 3,233 Survivors given care and protection ‣ 426 Prosecution Cases handled, the majority of them ongoing ‣ 2,196 Women and children that were able to return to their families ‣ 119 Criminals convicted ‣ 43,592 Police officers, public prosecutors, and community leaders trained in
trafficking awareness
To enable our work to not only be maintained but also expand, we are in the process of building a new fundraising team. We are seeking to recruit the very best people to help us fulfil our ambitious plans.
Overview of the role…
We’re looking for a brilliant digital manager, to develop our online presence and build our relationship with new and existing supporters. This is initially a part time role (3 days per week). If you’re successful, you’ll be:
‣ Strategic - it’ll be your job to develop our online strategy. We’ve historically been a little shy online - it’ll be your job to get us out there, while balancing the need to protect our work, staff and the survivors of modern day slavery with whom we are working
‣ Highly creative - you’ll be the sort of person who makes things look beautiful, thinks outside the box, is able to capture people’s imagination and turn great ideas into reality
‣ Passionate - we’re looking for people who are passionate about the issue of modern day slavery.
‣ An outstanding communicator - you’ll be able to describe what we do efficiently and effectively. Great with short form written communication, you’ll be able to get people’s attention quickly and turn that attention into action
‣ Technically savvy - you’ll know your way around Adobe Suite programmes, have no problem creating new web pages on our Wordpress based site or developing supporter journeys on platforms such as Mailchimp. We’d guess you’re more Mac than PC!
‣ Willing to roll up your sleeves - there’s lots to be done and you won’t be afraid of hard work, including at times during anti-social hours. A team player, committed to making things work and helping get everything in place to do so
‣ Someone who takes the initiative - we’re looking for a self-starter, go getter, ambitious type. You'll propose solutions, not focus on the problems
‣ Driven by outcomes - you’ll be inspired and motivated to increase awareness of Justice and Care, traffic to our site, sign ups in terms of new names on our database and generating new income for our work
