Our Definition

• Digital literacy is the possession of skills imperative to the use of digital technology including communication tools and networks. These skills include the ability to understand, locate and use information which is in multiple formats and from varying range of sources. The information is then created into new digital media (text, sound, images) through digital manipulation by interpreting and reproducing the media.

Orangutan use iPads!!

“They have the intelligence that they need to communicate, but they don't have the right equipment, because they don't have voice boxes or vocal chords. So this gives

them a way to let us know what they know, what they are capable of, what they would like to have.” (Linda Jacobs)
