The Digital Age

Ive been interested in computers for many years. I am going to introduce one of the two main components throughout this presentation: Ill start by introducing motherboards, then discuss system processors, introduce some hobbies of mine that involve development boards and where I work. I have created a voice activated assistant using the Raspberry pi 3 computer module that will be presented at the end of this presentation; however, Throughout this presentation I am going to provide basic information, leaving out in-depth facts.

Computer HardwareMotherboard Form Factors and ProcessorsATX: A form factor that is designed for full-size and mid-sized system cases.Micro-ATX: A form factor commonly used for home-made theater systems. This boards generally have less expansion slots, but require less power to operate.Intel: There are many kinds of Intel-based sockets on boards; however, most are based on the Land-Grid Array (LGA) architecture.AMD: There are also many different AMD-based boards, but most of these boards follow through with Pin-Grid Array (PGA) architecture.

,This is one of my many home projects that I have worked on. Its an assistant that can recognize your voice. Once the system recognizes a specific word, it performs a specific task, as seen in the video. I did this using the raspberry pi 3 development board.
