Difficult Access

DAC Ltd is a mobile Crane Hire provider in the UK specialising in being able to access

difficult sites and working in tight and awkward spaces.

We are a dedicated company that goes above and beyond—we lift where others couldn’t

shift !

Our business is based in the Midlands in Derbyshire, but works across the country for a

wide variety of companies including Utilities and Contstruction and also Private companies

and individuals. We pride ourselves in being able to solve crane lifting problems, often

building and testing specialist lifting equipment for specific jobs.

Contract Lift or Crane Hire

• Our Crane hire company works to the terms and conditions of the CPA (Construction

Plant Hire Association), of which we are members, and in accordance with BS7121 (The

Safe Use of Cranes)

• DAC Ltd offer you the option of either lifts based on CPA Crane Hire or CPA Contract Lift.

If you are not sure which is the best option for you, please consider the following:

Have you previously hired a crane ?

Is there someone qualified to plan the lifting operation ?

Have you employees with appropriate Slinger/Banksman certification ?

Does your company have the correct insurance cover ?

Do you know the weight / dimensions of the lift ?

Can the crane be set up on a good hard standing ?

Is there enough room for the crane to enter / exit the site ?

Is the area free of obstructions such as overhead cables, underground services or con-

fined and restricted spaces ?

• If you have answered no to any of the questions above, CPA Contract Lift may be the best

option for you. Brief details on both kinds of lift can be found below and further infor-

mation is available on request.

CPA Contract Lift

As this is a high risk industry we recommend that customers who are not experienced in hiring

cranes and not aware of the responsibilities, duties and risks, should take advantage of our

CPA Contract Lift Service.

With this option, all aspects of the lift from initial planning, Health & Safety assessment and

monitoring, and management of the lift itself, through to all necessary insurance, is provided

by DAC Ltd to ensure your total peace of mind.

CPA Crane Hire

In accordance with Health and Safety Executive Guidelines, we can only provide a crane on a

CPA Crane Hire basis if the customer provides a qualified and experience person to plan and

take responsibility for the lifting operation.

You will be liable for all Health and Safety issues both when planning the lift and whilst the job

is carried out. Insurance must also be provided to cover all personnel and equipment in-

volved in the lift, as well as the goods being lifted.
