Our Story When Lukáš, the founder of Diagrams, got into software development a few years ago, he was drawn to the possibility of turning ideas into something tangible by expressing them using program code. Moreover, he became fascinated by modeling languages, which enable one to describe software systems and their components using visual diagrams.

Lukáš found great value in depicting architecture when developing software on his Mac. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find a suitable diagram editor which would support him. The available apps were either primarily focused on graphical design or bloated with overwhelming complexity. He thought that the Mac platform deserved a more focused and approachable diagram editor and so he decided to build one himself.

After a few years of learning about the Mac platform and developing several prototypes, he founded a company with his two partners, and together, they started working on Diagrams.

Announcing the project to the public in advance helped the team to verify the demand and to recruit testers who provided valuable feedback over the last couple of months. This drove further development of the app that is about to be officially released soon.
