TDB001 Remote Tester

The TDB001 Remote Control Tester has been designed to offer a quick and accurate

way to test

radio frequency (RF) remote controls and also infra-red (IR) remote controls.

The TDB001 offers a simple check that the remote is sending a signal, but more

important that

the frequency it is sending is correct. This is important for imported vehicles and

systems, as

TDB006 Prox Slot and Antenna Tester

The TDB006 Transponder Antenna Tester has been designed to offer a fast and easy way of checking the transponder antenna across all vehicle systems and types. The TDB006 can pick up the signal that is transmitted from the vehicle to the transponder key, and thus checking the functionality of the antenna and vehicle immobilizer signal output. The TDB006 features signal indication by way of a visual LED and also a sounder which mimics the signal being sent. The TDB006 features an external antenna wand, which has been designed to slide in to the vehicles fitted with card readers and slot keys such as Nissan, Hyundai, BMW etc. The wand can slide into this prox slot and read the transponder signal being transmitted. The wand can be used to pick up the signals on keyed ignitions as well as picking up the signals from prox antennas on doors, trunks, push button start, consoles, and cup holders! Nissan Prox Slots are particularly prone to failure. Transponder Antenna Tester can be used to quickly diagnose those elusive problems.

To test a system simply put the wand in the area to be tested and then activate the system. (Turning on the ignition with key, pressing the push button start or pressing the door activation button)

OPERATION

The Smart/Proximity key receives low frequency signals on 125kHz or 134kHz frequency.

The key has a transponder, which when you operate the vehicle door by either pulling the handle or pressing the

button (This varies on vehicles and models) the transponder is energized through a 125kHz or 134kHz signal. The key

then responds to the vehicle on a higher RF frequency 433MHz or 315MHz sending a security message.

If the vehicle and the key communicate with the correct security messages, then the vehicle will open the door and

allow the starting of the vehicle using the start/stop button.

There are a number of sensors transmitting the 125KHz/134KHz signal around the vehicle, normally in the doors,

boot/trunk, external bumper, center console, rear seats, glove box area, etc., depending on the make and model.

Proximity Test.

You can test both the prox antenna on

the car and the prox itself. Both will send

a signal. You will be able to see the

strength of each signal and determine if

the car has an issue with its antennas or

the prox itself.

IMPORTANT: Only a PROX that is

programmed to the car and is working

will show a signal. IF the prox is not

programmed to the car or it is

malfunctioning, IT WILL NOT send a

response back to the car and you will not

get a reading.

OBD Power Booster and Protector

The TDB013 OBD Power Booster and Protector has been designed to protect your

investment from being damaged by issues with the vehicle you are testing. Many

vehicles can exhibit unknown problems and plugging in a piece of equipment worth

thousands of dollars is sometimes a gamble.

With jump packs, booster packs and car chargers the amount of interference, voltage

spikes and voltage surges can easily damage expensive equipment.

1. The TDB013 acts as a FUSE between the OBD and your diagnostic

equipment. IF there is a power surge the TDB013 will protect your equipment

from being damaged.

2. The TDB013 is a POWER BOOSTER. It will keep the power at a SAFE constant

12 volts which is the proper voltage for diagnostic equipment. Even if the

power supply from the car is 9 volts, the TDB013 will boost it and keep 12

volts to your diagnostic equipment. (NOT the car-only your diagnostic

equipment. It does NOT boost power to the vehicles BATTERY. You must still

provide sufficient power by cables or jump box if needed.)

The OBD Port Tester connects to a vehicles OBDII / EOBD connector and lets you easily diagnose electrical faults.

LEDs Activity:

RED LED's

(Pin 16) - automatically turn-on as soon as you plug= into DLC.

RED LED's turn dim when:

� Low battery voltage - refer to Voltmeter and alarm will beep (below 12V)

� Wiring to DLC pin 16 is faulty

� Grounds circuits has resistance issues

GREEN LED's

(Pins 4 and 5) - automatically turn-on as soon as you plugged into DLC.

BLUE LED's

(Pins 2, 6, 7 and 10) - LEDs should flash when serial data voltage pulses are present in the data line. Blue LEDs is assigned on pins

2, 6, 7 and 10 to indicate communication with scan tool or interface and for communication protocol identification. LED will turn-on

depending on your vehicle model. For some vehicle models, two or more blue LEDs will turn-on as soon as the OBD Port Tester is

connected and you start the ignition.

The brightness of the LEDs will depend on the nature of the signal it's showing

TDB014 Plug the TDB014 into the OBD.

Watch the lights as you turn the ignition key on.

You will want to see BLUE LIGHTS flash momentarily or stay

flashing. Depending on the make of vehicle it can be 1 light

or up to 4 lights.

IF you do not see BLUE LIGHTS FLASH momentarily (or stay

flashing), that shows malfunction in DATA transfer system.

If you see BLUE lights stay solid that shows malfunction in

DATA transfer system.

Wonder Win Module

Chrysler/Dodge vehicles have a big problem with the WIN modules needing to be replaced.

(Ignition switch for Fobik/Pod style)

Right now the only source is calling the dealer with VIN and hoping they have it in stock. AND you

have to use the DEALER COMPUTER with a subscription to program it in! This is costly and

timely. So, because of these hassles most locksmiths won’t even consider replacing the WIN

MODULES.

Now with the WONDER WIN a locksmith needs to only stock what is needed. Two units will cover

80% of these cars on the road. (WIN4 and WIN4RS)

There are only four types.

WIN 2, WIN 2RS, WIN 4RS and the WIN4

WIN2/WIN2RS uses two bolts attaching it to the car. WIN4/WIN4RS uses 4 bolts attaching it to the

car. Vehicles using a REMOTE START will need the appropriate WONDER WIN MODULE but use

RS after for part. (SO WIN4RS is simply a WIN4 with an extra plug in for vehicles that have a

REMOTE START.)

SIMPLE PLUG AND PLAY...then the locksmith uses his key programmer to simply program in new

keys using the provided PIN on each WONDER WIN MODULE. THAT'S IT!

These WONDER WIN MODULES are original new MOPAR parts. We just establish an individual

pin for each unit.

Each WONDER WIN MODULE comes with a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY.

Tech support is provided if needed.

The technician will have to provide new keys/fobiks as the old ones are not re-useable.

WONDER WIN MODULE

WHEN removing, or installing a WIN module. Make sure the vehicle has proper voltage of at least 12.3 volts.

Always have in stock VIRGIN FOBIKS and POD keys for testing purposes.

Always have a TDB003 for additional testing and confirmation.

Vehicle battery does not need to be disconnected. Just make sure there is nothing left open to drain battery.

Even if the ignition is stuck in the ACC or RUN when the WIN is unplugged vehicle will turn off. Its OK!

If FOBIK or POD key stays stuck inside the WIN turn it counter clockwise and plug harness in again and this will

release the key. IF it does not release you can use a paper clip and insert inside the pin hole to the left side of the

WIN module.

TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING EXISTING WIN MODULE WIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WHEN:

Turning a virgin key to the RUN position and the instrument cluster does not turn on AND the windows will not go up

or down.

IF TDB003 or TDB006 does not detect a signal from WIN when inserting and turning the key to ON.

If your KEY PROGRAMMER cannot read PIN or if it gives you an incorrect PIN after you have confirmed from DEALER

/NASTF.

If a new FOBIK remote does not lock/unlock doors. Test with TDB003 to make sure frequency is ok and the door locks

operate via door switch.

If you insert key and it won’t turn at all.

If you turn the vehicle to OFF and key won’t go back past ACC leaving accessories ON. In some cases it takes 1 to 10

minutes for a CLICK to be heard and key will release.

If you have to put pressure while turning KEY to CRANK or you have to ‘wiggle’ the key to find right spot to get the

vehicle to start or stay running.

If you remove the KEY and the vehicle stays running AND when you unplug the WIN it turns OFF. IF it does not turn

OFF, problem may be another module other than the WIN.

If while driving the vehicle turns OFF when hitting ‘bumps’ in the road.

If the SECURITY LIGHT (RED CIRCLE) stays flashing when using a working key and the vehicle will not CRANK and the

light still flashes in the ON position. Even if you add a new FOBIK/POD and these conditions do not change.

1. Remove old WIN and replace with new WONDER WIN MODULE. It will be held on with either 2 or 4 screws.

Unplug/Plug the one electrical connector. (Two if it’s remote start equipped.)

2. Using a key programmer that is capable of programming these types of vehicles, simply PROGRAM in from

your stock new/virgin POD KEYS or FOBIK STYLE KEYS. (THE OLD KEYS WILL NOT WORK, they are synced to

the old WIN module)

DO NOT SELECT BY VEHICLE. You must select BY SYSTEM FOBIK B or a vehicle that uses SYSTEM FOBIK B.

(Such as 2011 Town and Country. This programming HAS TO BE DONE UNDER FOBIK B TYPE)

3. Use the provided PIN on the WONDER WIN MODULE.

4. (IF THE PIN does not get accepted and you have PIN READ CAPABILITY on your programmer double check

by READ PIN. If it is different try it. IF it does not work contact our tech support.

5. ONCE a WONDER WIN MODULE has keys programmed into it, it CANNOT be re-used on different vehicle.

Volvo Security Dongle

The TDB750 Volvo Security Dongle has been designed to make programming Volvo cars easy and simple.

Volvo vehicle key programming takes between 30 minutes and 5 hours depending on the system and model of the

vehicle.

This is not a problem if the vehicle is in a workshop, but if the vehicle is lost keys and with a customer then waiting

around for the key programming to complete is wasteful and means your key programming equipment is tied up while

you wait.

The TDB750 Volvo Security Dongle overcomes this by gaining the required security without having your equipment

connected to the vehicle.

The TDB750 can be connected and left on the vehicle while you continue to program other vehicles with your

TDB1000 Key Programming System, and you can even lock the vehicle and leave the dongle running and come back

at a convenient time.

In some instances your customer can call you when the dongle has finished, as there is a bright clear GREEN LED

light to show the device has finished.

All that is needed is then, connect the TDB1000 to the TDB750 Volvo Security Dongle and continue to program keys

as you would normally.

The TDB750 even remembers the codes, so if the device is unplugged from that vehicle, as long as you do not

connect it to another vehicle it remembers the information, so you can pop back later if needed to program the keys

What do we have to offer to the LOCKSMITHS? Ourselves.

We are a small company. Our headquarters is in the UK headed by Greg Chambers. Greg

Chambers has been the leader in bringing key programmers to the locksmith industry. He

created the first programmers which led to the creation of Advanced Diagnostics. Greg left

AD a few years back and in 2015 created THE DIAGNOSTIC BOX.

TDBUSA is located in Apopka Florida and is managed by Tom Tusing. Tom has been an

automotive locksmith since 1986. He has many achievements which include ones such as

FORD 10 cut key origination system, The Determinator and is the author of the HIGH

SECURITY KEY ORIGINATION MANUAL. Tom still makes keys for cars with his automotive

locksmith business everyday. You will see Tom at most conventions.

Chris Roney is head of software testing here in the US. Chris runs a very successful locksmith

company based in Pensacola FL for over 20 years.

His partner Chuck Stead is based in Pennsylvania. He has been automotive locksmithing for

over 20 years. Chuck helps with testing.

Steve Myslik heads our Clone Wizard support. Steve has been an automotive locksmith for

many years and has vast knowledge on the cloning and writing of transponders. Steve has

been in the industry for 25 years.

There is only the Five of us at TDBUSA. As you see we have been in the industry for many

years and we are part of this TDB team that will be here for many years to come.
