Important Safety Instructions

Read this before installing this software. The following basic safety precautions should always be taken.

• Do not use this software if it is not working properly.• Before using this software, please read all instructions thoroughly.

WARNING: The Prodigy® Diabetes Management Software is for reference and recording of diabetesmanagement data. You should consult with your physician prior to making any adjustments in your diabetes medication, treatment, or blood glucose targets.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:The Prodigy® Diabetes Management Software is intended for use as a data management tool for acceptance, transfer, display, storage, processing, (e.g. averaging), reporting and printing of patient blood glucose monitoring data. The software is intended for use with the Prodigy® Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems only.

System Requirements

PROCESSOR Minimum 500 MHzRecommended 1 GHz or higher

RAM Minimum 192 MBRecommended 512 MB or higher

HARD DISK SPACE 600 MB free space

OPERATING SYSTEMS Windows 7Windows VistaWindows XPWindows Server 2003

NOTE: The user will need administrator privileges to download the software.



Installing Software

1) After Clicking on the “Download Software” link, please Click Run to install the Prodigy®Diabetes Managment Software.

2) A progress bar will appear during installation

3) Click Run to continue installation

5) Please read the license agreement carefully and click on “I accept the terms in the License Agreement.” Then click the Next button.

6) Clicking the Cancel button will result in a dialog box popping up asking you if you are sure you want to cancel the installation. Choosing Yes will stop the installation process and quit out of the install leaving your computer untouched. Choosing No will continue with the installation.

4) Click the Next button to continue with the installation.

7) The installer will direct you to install the Prodigy® Diabetes Management Software in the Program Files folder of your local hard drive. Click the Next button.

8) Click the Install button to continue with the installation.

NOTE: When installing on a Windows Vista or Windows 7operating systems, please click Yes if security warnings pop up.

9) It will take several minutes for the installation to be completed.

10) Your Prodigy® Diabetes Management Software was installed successfully Please click Finish.



To uninstall the software on Windows XP and lower operating systems:1) Click on Start 2) Choose the Control Panel3) Click on Add or remove programs4) Click the Remove button for “Prodigy Diabetes Management Software V1.9.”

To uninstall the software on Windows 7 and Windows Vista1) Click on Start 2) Choose the Control Panel3) Click on Programs and Features4) Click on “Prodigy Diabetes Management Software V1.9.”5) Click Uninstall from the menu option
